Did you exchange a walk on part in the war ?

For a lead role in a cage?

                          Baccarat, Blackjack and Poker.

We have these card casinos in California where you can play these games,(but no other games like slots or roulette, etc) and many are only about an hour's drive away from me. Great to play a game with only around 1% house edge, as opposed to the lottery which has a horrible 30-50% house edge.

Makes you feel somewhat stupid gambling with the lottery, but hey, its convenient and has a chance for big prizes. And you can say you are voluntarily paying very high taxes to fund education, yada, yada. Main thing the lottery has going for it is location, location, location. I can hit 10-20 stores within few minutes walking distance from my home or work. Gotta love that state sanctioned monopoly...

Lottery is it for me now.

If I still lived in Nevada I'd bet baseball. Baseball doesn't work on point spreads, the bets are made on a money line - say Baltimore is +1.25 against NY.

There'a a way of betting called a money line parlay, if you pick the right two or three dogs (underdogs) you can get somes weet payoffs off of $10 and $15 bets.

If you had three + 1.25 dogs for a $10 bet you'd get:

                              10 X 1.25 + = 22.50 X 1.25 = 50.62 X 1.25 = 63.28 = a total of $113.90 or $113 " and down" from a $10 bet.

That's with three 'small' dogs at $1.25

In football you have to lay $11 to win $10 and your team has to cover the spread. In baseball all they have to do is win and undergdogs win baseball games everyday.

A guy I worked with was dating a girl who was a sports book auditor at the Fremont. For one particular baseball season, opening day to closing day - not post season- the sports book made $50 on baseball for the season.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

                              Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
