Pools seem like hassle, I like to be in control. Maybe if I ran one I would be fine, and me buying the tickets but if I was just a member then no thanks.

The pool said they will give her a cut, but didn't say how much. The win is about $83,000 after taxes for each member.

Maldonado should gracefully turn down the offer.

It's kinda like showing up unexpectedly after the family sets down for dinner and being asked to join them as a courtesy and good manners.

It's a real catch-22 for Malonado because she is the only one in the office who excluded herself from the group by not joining the pool. Some will be in a room talking about spending their winnings, but I'll bet it gets quiet when Malonado enters. It would make it even more uncomfortable for everyone if she doesn't accept a cut.
