To download my workfile on the Powerball Game - Go To -  https://www.box.com/s/pkvfqbdnzkznbi0xnafa

Let me explain what i have been doing for the last 25+ yrs working on various lottery Jackpot games.  Years ago I came to the conclusion that there were combinations and patterns in every jackpot game.  My main goal was to find these combinations, and if in fact, did they form some type of a pattern.  I did find that these combinations only did hold true if the matix of a given game didn't change (the number of balls used in a given game).

When I started working on this Powerball Game, the first think I did was to download a data base giving me the dates & winning numbers for this game.  In this case, it was the Powerball game since the last matrix change.  This was as of 01/07/09, when Flordia joined the Powerball game & the number of White Balls are what they are today.  The Powerball itself matrix changed on 01/18/12 but that didn't have any affect on the White Balls outcome.

At the top of my worksheet.  I have a box called Current Winning #'s and 8 boxes to the right of it.  In the first 5 Boxes, I put the 5 winning numbers of the current Powerball Game.  These are in Columns C1 D1 E1 F1 & G1.

                             Current winning #'s         4   7    8  29    39

What I am doing is comparing the numbers in each line to the Current winning #'s listed at the top of the worksheet.  This is being done with the help of formulas hidden in columns N Thru R.  And the ToT number of hits in Col S.  So if you look above Line (CNT) 2 matched the #8 with the #8 in the Current Winning #'s. And the Tot number of hits under the TOT column is 1.  If you look above Line (CNT) 3 matched the #'s 8 & 39 with the #'s 8 & 39 in the Current Winning #'s. And the TOT number of hits under the TOT column is 2.  Same goes for Line (CNT) 9 matched the # 7 with the # 7 in the Current Winning #'s.  This same process goes on thru the entire spreadsheet until you hit the last drawing which will show you that you matched 5 of 5 becasue the last drawing will contain the same numbers that you entered into the Current Winning #'s at the top of the Worksheet.

When all is said & done in this case.  I have 444 lines of winning powerball numbers with numbers in the TOT column ranging from 0 thru 5 (or simply put - no hits to 5 hits in matches).  If I do a Sort of Column S (keeping in mind to have the entire data range highlighted {do not include the CNT in your sort}) in order of Largest to Smallest.  I'll have matched 5 (TOT) at the top of the list, followed by 4 hits, followed by 3 hits, 2 hits, 1 hit, & zero hits.

Still no word on whether they're going to put Todd's Tasty Turnips on the menu though.

            Keep your fingers crossed!
