I am not that good with technology, so after I paided for the business, I would have to hire him back as tech support.

It is better to start a new business then to take over an old one mostly. If you want to know, maybe talk to your accountant first.

I think by the time this thread has been exhausted we will have 100 new reasons to be grateful to Todd for all that he does!

                      Crazy

A person never knows all that goes into a job until they get hit with the responsibility and even then there are those little things that people did to make things run smoothly that you really took for granted that suddenly leave gaps as you are working hard to keep up the general function that you eventually become aware of and think wow this job isn't as easy as it looks.

Found this to be true in my career as a nurse and the biggest eye opener was first a mother then a mother of four yow doozie! Who can keep up?

Okay example and this was at work. My coworker was full time charge nurse of the unit. I was part time. She asked to switch I was like yeah I can do this job easy as pie. Well not really but you get my drift. Well I managed all the main functions and guess what we ran into as soon as six months down the line? She was anal about cleaning out ears so if you can guess we had wax out the wazoo! It tooK weeks to  get all that wax cleaned up. So that was my big lesson. Who knew she had been cleaning out ears all that time. Hats off to Diane may she rest in peace. She died of cancer several years ago. Now that is just one example. Take a big website and who knows what kind of bugs would surface.

Why would he want to sell it to me?  I'm an average retiree with little money and no knowledge of coding or how to run a business.  I can think of a lots of businesses that would take less knowledge and headaches to run.
