When you buy your lottery tickets, when do you put your signature on them? Do you put your signature on them at all?

Since I always check my tickets before cashing them in, I only sign the ones that are worth more than $25.  I doubt if anyone would try to cheat me out any lesser amounts.

I can't remember the last time I've signed my name on the back of a lottery ticket. Most times I don't win anything and other times when I win, the amounts are less then $50, so I cash them in at the store without signing them.

so does stamping your name on a ticket count as a signature too? Tickets I have usually have a spot to print your name and another spot to write your signature.

So far this year, I've only signed one ticket which had to be verified by a retailer and turned in at a local authorized bank for me to collect my prize money.

I always usually sign them, but they always end up being a worthless bit of paper with my signature on it.
