Texas Lottery has changed the Texas Lotto game to add a "Texas Lotto with Extra" for an extra $1. Jackpot is starting higher, too at $5m annuity, $3.5 cash. For an extra $1 you can get higher prizes - you can get your $2 back if you hit 2 of 6 on a 6 ball game, and the other non jackpot winnings go up +10 +100 +10,000. The odds go from 1:71.1 to 1:7.9 to win a prize.
I'll try the extra for a few draws. Better chance to get your $2 back than your $1.
Yeah I read about this in the commission meeting minutes a while back. I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. Lately, I've been playing the top 30 numbers in 5 lines. So, if I play the extra, that's $10. It's kinda like this....
If I spend $5 and don't win anything, I lost $5. If I spend $10 and I win back $2, I lost $8. I still have to hit 3 numbers to break even with the extra play. So winning $2 doesn't do a lot for me. I gotta hit 3 numbers for either $3 or $10. Of course, if I play $5 and win $3, I still lose $2. But it's better than losing $8.
Now if I just play 1 line, yeah, put in an extra buck and see what happens.
CAN'T WIN IF YOU'RE NOT IN
A DOLLAR AND A DREAM (OR $2)
