I personally like precious metals and real estate.  Possibly some program trading of equities.  Have some ideas for businesses also.

What would you invest in if Lady Luck knocks on your door with these huge jackpots?

Assuming there was only one winner (me Banana) and the take home amount was about $200M, I'd set half aside for investing. The rest would be split up to spoil myself, take care of family, set up college funds, trusts and charities, etc.

The half set aside for investing, 60% of that would be in things like bonds, CDs, safe and conservative stuff. 15% on real estate (apartments for rental income, residential and commercial real estate etc), 10% on franchises (maybe), the rest on risky but high yield investments.

I will not invest in or go into business with any relative or friend. If they want money to start a business, then I'd give or loan the amount. No co-ownership or silent partner crap. Too many ways to ruin a relationship by doing that.

if you invested 200 million dollars (cash amount minus enough for you to buy a fancy house and live off of) 30 years ago, in Johnson and Johnson, you'd be

worth 8.8 billion today, 30 years later (the annuity period if you choose annuity instead).

Interesting!  WAYYYYYY better than if you let the loving gov't hold your money and give you virtually NO RETURN on it over 30 years.

My portfolio would look something like this:

            Credit Union Money Market  50%

            Physical Gold/Silver 10%

            Dividend Paying Stocks 10%

            Real Estate 5%

            My Business 4%

            Fun Money 1%

            Family Trust 20%

*I would not give away money to friends or make any donations trying to be a hero.

*I would not hire any lawyers, accountants, or financial advisers.

I would invest in my own business. I've always wanted to develop a video game and either a TV series or a movie based off the same mythology. It's going to be big, I've been developing this story for years and I can't wait to have the opportunity to tell it how I want it to be told.

Other than that I'd definitely look into funding startups. Getting in on the ground floor of something that I could see blowing up in the future. I'd be searching the globe far and wide for that next Mark Zuckerberg, so when that company blows up and goes public, I'd be sitting there holding onto a big percentage of stock.

I'm always on here talking about what kind of spending I would do, and yes, there's going to be the ridiculous house and the slew of cars, but I definitely intend on growing that money as well. Not to say I would dive head first into a cold storm with no clothes on, not that at all, the decisions I make would be smart, but there would definitely be some investing. But just a certain amount of the money. I would never let it get to the point where I still wouldn't have the majority of the winnings left. At some point the investing money would have to come from the investing profits.

That's not so farfetched... there's already a businessman in China selling "fresh canned natural air" taken from mountains and valleys with very low

pollution to the people in the city who are afraid of the pollution lol....

After I paid all debt off, I'd invest the rest and live on the interest.  I wouldn't buy anything big for atleast a year.

not exactly sure... gold... real estate... stocks n bonds... i would definitely have to research more... and honestly, after winning, maybe a year after, id go back to school and get an accounting/finance degree so i really understand whats going on with my money... i think thatd be a good investment :)

                            I wish I may, I wish I might...
