This evening I installed a new spell checker.  Many of you have noticed that the old spell checker has not been working for the past week or so.

Unfortunately the installation of the new spell checker meant I needed to install some new technology on the Lottery Post server, which disrupted service to the Web site for about 10 minutes.  Happily, things are back up and running fine now.

The old spell checker was based on a Google service that apparently they are no longer supporting.  Google seems to be on a maniacal quest to get rid of many of their services that they no longer deem profitable.

The new service that I installed is no longer reliant upon an external company like Google, so there is minimal chance of a problem in the future with it.

Cool. I was wondering why it was down.

                Todd

I had noticed that the old one had stopped working but it seemed to coincide with a Firefox update.

Anyway it seems to be working great. Thanks.

Thanks Todd, this clears up something for me,

about the same time I was trying to find out why my laptop could'nt log on to internet, so I was switching wires and connections back and forth

between laptop (wireless) and desktop, then I used LP to see If desktop still had normal operation.

Anyway when It kept trying to send me to google I was like WTF ?????????????????????????

At this point I'am guessing that the wireless part of my modem has stopped working ?

So thanks for telling us when you're working on stuff,

otherwise I'd still be wondering why that happened the way it did.

I noticed a disruption. Nevertheless, great job Todd.
