Saratoga Celebrates 150 years this summer. I will post selections for the Saturday cards.
The Grade I Forgo and Woodward will be contested today. Tough card today, 60% chance of rain. Post time 1:00pm EST. Good luck.
All selections contenders for WIN.
All handicapping done BEFORE early scratches and changes became available.
Betting advice: 1 betting unit to WIN: 2 betting units to PLACE (WIN double PLACE).
If you are playing exotics (exacta, trifecta) I recommend using Part Wheels instead of boxes.
I like to put the highest odds horse on top and the others underneath. For example:
Selection: 4-12-5-3. The 12 is the highest odds horse in the selection, put on top:
Exacta 12/4,5,3 cost=$6($2 base bet) Trifecta 12/4,5,3/4,5,3 cost=$12
Look for value. Any selection going to post at odds higher than 5-1 is a value play.
My selections are just a heads up to take a second look during your handicapping.
Do your research and make up your own mind. Don't blindly bet these selections.
