There are 270 doubles in Pick-3 .......and there are 271 numbers with a specific single digit number in it.

Example: .....There are 54 doubles with a digit 1 in them.   A 270 to 216 ratio...... close to the same amount with some digit one overlaps in the doubles.

Question:

Why is it so rare for doubles to go over 10 skip draws on average ......compared to a specific missing digit skips which on average .....can skip many more times than that? In other words.....the 216 singles list seems to skip more often. More than the 5.4% difference the increased doubles list would indicate.

270 total doubles or 27%

216 Single numbers for a single digit total

012, 013, 014, 015, 016, 017, 018, 019, 021, 031, 041, 051, 061, 071, 081, 091, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 120, 123, 124, 125, 126, 127, 128, 129, 130, 132, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 140, 142, 143, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, 150, 152, 153, 154, 156, 157, 158, 159, 160, 162, 163, 164, 165, 167, 168, 169, 170, 172, 173, 174, 175, 176, 178, 179, 180, 182, 183, 184, 185, 186, 187, 189, 190, 192, 193, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198, 201, 210, 213, 214, 215, 216, 217, 218, 219, 231, 241, 251, 261, 271, 281, 291, 301, 310, 312, 314, 315, 316, 317, 318, 319, 321, 341, 351, 361, 371, 381, 391, 401, 410, 412, 413, 415, 416, 417, 418, 419, 421, 431, 451, 461, 471, 481, 491, 501, 510, 512, 513, 514, 516, 517, 518, 519, 521, 531, 541, 561, 571, 581, 591, 601, 610, 612, 613, 614, 615, 617, 618, 619, 621, 631, 641, 651, 671, 681, 691, 701, 710, 712, 713, 714, 715, 716, 718, 719, 721, 731, 741, 751, 761, 781, 791, 801, 810, 812, 813, 814, 815, 816, 817, 819, 821, 831, 841, 851, 861, 871, 891, 901, 910, 912, 913, 914, 915, 916, 917, 918, 921, 931, 941, 951, 961, 971, 981

Using digit 1 as the single missing digit...... there are only 54 over laps of digit ONE ...in the 270 doubles list.

A 5.4% difference. Yet...missing single digit numbers can go much longer without a hit on average ...even having 5% less numbers than the 271 doubles list.

001, 010, 011, 100, 101, 110, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, 121, 122, 131, 133, 141, 144, 151, 155, 161, 166, 171, 177, 181, 188, 191, 199, 211, 212, 221, 311, 313, 331, 411, 414, 441, 511, 515, 551, 611, 616, 661, 711, 717, 771, 811, 818, 881, 911, 919, 991

The only real failure .....is the failure to try.

Luck is a very rare thing....... Odds not so much.

Odds never change .....but probability does.

It really all comes down to theMath of it ......which I'm sure it will again this time.

It's just I'm having some sort of Fog attack and need a re-boot evidently.
