Just for a trial run, test an ad w/pix on the Craig list for your horsehead memorabiia
When I was a kid, I recall freebees given to patrons @ movie theaters
Had a very good closing meet capping session with selelections but wish could have made it trackside
Good sharing these old but not forgotten moments that have Gone With The Wind.

LOL yea, cute redheads named Holly can cost ya $. I guess I'm lucky mine did'nt care that I was poor as a church mouse,
when you're 18 YO you don'nt worry to much.
Freebies from theaters ? don't quite remember that, but I think I heard talk of it.
Good 4 you on your closing meet, I have to wonder if they had a record attendance for the closing meet ?
maybe a lot of folks wanted to be at the last run.
Atlantic city has a 6 day meet every spring (to qualify for simulcast) I try to attend all 6 days, never know which will be the last.
Here's a trivia on SA, In the movie The Gauntlet, 1971 Clint Eastwood/Sondra Locke.
Sondra is a prisoner named Gus Mally, a horse named "Mallynoshow" is on the book at 100 to 1 in the 10th @ Anita
Gus Mally tells Eastwood " there is no 10th @ Anita"
after they escape she calls in a bet for $5g on "Mallynoshow"
and says "you know I'm good for it" LMAO
