    Affect, not effect.

Yes, however, the effect on lottery sales might be noticable due to lowering the minimum wage.  lol

I doubt it..people always find money for liquor and drugs and really snazzy cellphones/computers.I suspect sustaining a lottery habit wouldn't be much different

You got pretty heated on one of our discussions not long ago and threatened to "KICK MY TEETH DOWN MY THROAT".  I know the moderator took it down quickly but i hope your still not carrying a grudge.  You could have said "sorry" and that would have been enough.  We all make mistakes.

It is normal that "effect" is used as a nown and "affect" is used as a verb but sometimes this varies depending on usage.  Thanks for the correction.

            No, that's incorrect.

            And it's noun, not nown.

Australia's minimum wage is $16.37 per hour and lottery ticket sales are very healthy there, as well as a whole lot of other gambling.  Aussies bet on anything that moves: athletes, horses, dogs, cane toads, etc.  All legal.  I read somewhere that Australia has the highest rate of gambling in the world.

Only for those who think the difference between odds of 175 million to 1 and 258 million to 1 are negligible.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

                Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

No! People will always find a way to gamble, as well as other things!Bash

As for the passengers in the prescription windshield cars, the good citizens of the Zeta Riticuli system have that covered.

                        Wink

As for lottery play, as Slick Nick said gamblers will always find action. Ask any bookie during hockey season!

                        Old joke,

A guy has lost 15 bets in a row on football and 16 in a row on basketball. He calls his bookie and the bookie tells him the onlt thing going on a particular noght is a hockey game. The guy says, "Hockey? I don't know anyhting about betting hockey."

How about maximum wage laws for not rich people?

The question is, are vegans good? I don't know, I never ate any!

I dont see why it would.

I see people collect carts full of redeemable bottles (presumabley unemployed, possibly homeless)

They then get a couple of 10 dollar scratch-offs.  I don't see them complaining about minimum wage and the effect it has on their lottery purchases.

I bet you got some great Vegas stories to tell.  How long ago did you work at the casino's?  Ive been to Vegas several times and love it.  I can understand how Tiger Woods got into trouble.  Nothing like the <snip>tail watresses in Vegas!  Ive seen so many old codgers putting several hundred dollar bills into the machines but won't tip the watresses even 1 dollar.  Give a gal a 5 buck even and they will bring you a gallon of drinks quick and thats just for starters muhaha!Big Grin
