I'm sure many of us have been to a store where someone bought a lottery ticket they didn't want or the clerk misunderstood the customer.   Chair  Anyways has any Lottery Post players ever bought someones mistake and won? Banana A long time ago I was in a store and someone in front of me bought a Lotto ticket then they didn't want it. I bought it and it paid $78.00. Not bad.. LOL I sometimes ask the clerks are there any mistake tickets and I will buy it. See Ya!

I had a hunch on a Pick3 number one time years ago and told the clerk to punch it in for $1 Str8.

She punched it in one number off of what I asked for.

If I recall, I asked for 088 and she gave me 008 instead (or vice versa).

      Won $500 bucks on it.

And what did that tell me?

I have usually won more on buying the mistake tickets than I have lost  ,  but  all  small  amounts   (  so  far  )

As I have mentioned on here before a few times , that I had a friend that worked in a store , and a guy came in and wanted her to punch in some numbers.......she got one wrong......he got upset.......she told him he didnt have to take the ticket......he told her he wasnt going to anyway.

She punched in his numbers the second time and out of the store he went..........leaving behind the ticket

In my opinion..........he wasnt only rude..........he was stupid on top of it.........hell....... it was only a dollar

Ticket laid there all day........no one wanted it.......everyone avoided it like the plague  they  did

When she got off work that evening her relief asked what the ticket was doing there. She explained to her relief  worker what happened and then my friend said.......heck  ,  I will just buy it.

Two winners that nite............on the  Jackpot ..........15  or  17    Million  apiece  ( if I remember correct on the amount )

Yep  ,  you guessed it......one of the winners was that ticket   ( looks like there is Justice in the world after all )

People came out of the wood work  ( I have heard )  trying to claim the ticket............but it was hers  ( as it should be )

I had heard about it for many years , and then I met her many years later after it happened..........a humble and good person. I have never once asked her about it or mentioned  it.

So yea   Nick.........never leave them behind...........I never do

I only buy mistakes if they are sold at a discount.  If I'm paying full price then I'm only buying numbers I want.
