I got one of those desk calendars around New Year's, this one is Murphy's Law...some of these made me think of some threads here.......

Van Roy's First Law:

If you can distinguish between good advice and bad advice, then you don't need advice.

Bralek's Rule for Success:

Trust only those who stand to lose as much as you when things go wrong.

(This one could apply to many "Try my system" sellers.)

Howe's Law:

Everyone has a sceme that will not work.

(Same comment as previous one).

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Ol Murphy always got it right.

Some clowns in here could learn a thing or two from Murphy.

Murphy's law is a sensible law. But what it doesn't accommodate is applications.

Surely, if it's imaginable, it can happen, but the PROBABILITY is what really matters.

What are the odds you will be attacked by a shark while being struck by lightning? It can happen though right?
