Nobody really works for the lottery in a fake-drawing state like Tennessee.

They just press the button on the computer and whatever numbers they programmed come up.

      No real work involved.

They have lots of employees though.

I think they call them Coordinators.

And of course they need a buncha Vice Presidents in Charge of Coordination and so forth.

And as many people as necessary to get their coffee and pick up their dry cleaning.

i'm told any lottery employee that wins over 1000$ will be investigated.

        guess it only seems logical.

I thought they weren't allowed to play?

I am assuming this "free stuff" is also available and being being provided to the general public. If it is not, that is a possible ethics violation for the lottery.

In Canada they can play but anything above $1,000 is throughly investigated by an independent body, in some provinces in Canada they cant play some instant games

I once knew a guy who worked for the lottery but all he did was deliver supplies and supposedly fixed the terminals or replaced them but I never asked him for anything because I could get the same things free where I brought my tickets.

He didn't have any knowledge about the drawings or the tickets he delivered.

That makes sense. I can't see lottery employees giving anything away free that they are not giving/making available  to everyone else or passing out to places that sell tickets. I am sure the written restrictions on them as employees are a mile long. I have a friend who works for a business that has in the past done business with the state lottery and she cannot even play the lottery per her contract. She was not thrilled when she took the new job and found out about all the restrictions she had to abide by. lol
