Twice this month I got duped and bought a ticket for a retired game.  Different retailers.  I thought that the lottery rep would make sure a retailer wasn't selling retired games but I guess it is up to the retailer's own sense of ethics.  I don't really follow prize reports etc but I think I will be getting at least familiar with the list now.

Not all places are good about removing expired lottery tickets especially in my area.  There's a grocery store that's known for selling old tickets for up to a month after they were supposed to be removed from the shelf.  I don't think those rules are strictly enforced but they still pay out if they are cashed within a certain time frame after the game has closed.

Would you still feel duped if by some chance you won a top prize on an expired ticket?
