I read a news article from the MO lottery that it's contracting GTECH Corp. of Providence, R.I. to

provide computer gaming systems and related services. GTECH has the means to setup iGaming

which is a online service for buying tickets. I sent a email to MO lottery asking if they were planning

to add this option but have yet to hear back. I just wanted to know if your stare lottery offers online

ticket purchases.

BTW, I would love to be able to play online, save me the trip, gas, etc... It would be so

nice to just pick my numbers then get them online. I have been after the MO lottery to

add this option for years.

Florida does not. I will give you a heads up, about GTECH. If your state does not have pre-draws now, get ready for them. They are the ones who started pre-draws in Florida.

Pre-draws don't scare me, LOL. I already have a lottery bank account and it would make everything

so much easier. Many times I may have two or three lines to play but hate to make the trip for a $3.00

purchase. I could have them transfer my smaller wins directly into the account and it would be a snap

to see where I am at. I sometimes go a month or more without playing but with this option I would

try to play at least one line a day. I think MO's rng runs many pre-draws already.

lol...I've lost out on quite some wins by being cold and lazy lol

...online play would be so convenient.

The goal is to approach the Pick 3 & Pick 4 game sensibly and systematically!!

I'm not like the guy who predicted the end of the world and nothing happened.

Online play would be better if the states offered 900-1 instead of the retail 500-1 winnings. But that probably won't happen.

List Pick 3 singles by low sums, high sums. Separate each sum row by consecutive pair and non consecutive pair combos. These 3 pair groups. 14 17 47, 25 28 58, 36 39 69 are in 63 combos. 54 combos do not have them. Which sums do the 3 pair groups appear and not appear? Look at root sum groups 147, 258, 369. Play accordingly.

interstate online wagering, it is still unclear at this time how the new law will impact the sales of

Lottery tickets via the Internet.

Guess I will have to keep after them, seems a little silly to have everything in place and not

taking advantage of it.

Right now wins of less than $600 are not followed for tax purpose because it's too much work for the revenue generated but with on line records of every win even a dollar that would not be the case. Such a feature would not be used by high stake system players who figure they have an edge with those untaxed lower prize winnings.

* you don't need to buy every combination, just the winning ones *

Not exactly if they use the same process as online horse racing books which give W2-Gs for wins over $600. The IRS rules are different for players classifying themselves as professional gamblers who probably use the book to track all their play including both wins and losses.

It would be better for someone playing a pick-3 number multiple times to not play online because there is a record of those winnings, but for the average twice a week MM and/or PB player, it's a nice option.

The smaller wins are not tax exempt, the player is still required to report them at tax time.

When a prize of $600.00 or more is won then it requires paperwork to be completed before

the prize can be paid. Imagine if you had to fill out the same forms for a $1.00 win. It's kind

of a honor system but I doubt there are many with that kind of honor........ Pick-3 players I

personally know always get single line tickets so that if they win box hits, each ticket will fall

below the $600.00 limit which can be cashed in at different times.

When casinos first opened in Ohio a few of their customers were surprised when after losing a lot more than they won they received W-G forms to be filed with their taxes. They assumed since they won a lot less than they spent those winnings weren't income. I think the same situation would happen with online lottery ticket sales.

I doubt if players who now spend a couple of thousands on lottery tickets every years and never win a prize over $600 keep track of their winnings to add to their tax returns as addition income. That would be almost like paying additional taxes for the privilege of losing your money playing lotteries.

Yes, legal and valid in Sweden.

Winnings up to 5.000.000 kr ($ 700.000) is paid the next day on your registered bank acount.

Besides winning is smaller it's lot easier to play online.

I know people with several thousands worth of W2-Gs who used player cards and were given printouts of all their gambling while using the card. Gambling losses up to the amount won can be deducted using the long form (Schedule A). As long a lottery player kept any one time winnings under $600, they won't get a W2-G, but overtime if they were winning substantially more than they were wagering, the IRS will recommend they register as a professional gambler.

The horse racing books are required to give a W2-G on wagering transactions which return a payoff of $600 or more in gambling winnings if such winnings are at least 300 times the amount of the wager. If you bet $200 on a horse and win $1000, you won't get a W2-G, but if you bet $2 on a perfecta or trifecta and win $601 or more, you will get a W2-G.

Playing online would be better for pick-4 straight players making it simple cashing their tickets.

The national lottery company in Norway offer online playing off all games, including a virtual scratch off ticket.

If you win small amounts, the money goes into your account at the lottery company.

If you win a major price you will get it transfered to your bank account the day after. No taxes off course.
