Hi all, based in Florida... new here so I apologize if this has been posted before. I have been a very casual lottery player over the years, I play the Mega and Power when it goes over $100 mil or so usually, 1 or 2 tix. Grab a few scratch offs every now and then, was on a lucky streak last year but recently went cold this year.
I have been noticing lately over the past few years that a majority of the winning Jackpot tickets have been sold in really small stores, for example just making up names here, "Mike's Quik Stop".. or "Tom's E-Z Go" or "E-Z Foods" type of places. Of course I know Publix, Murphy gas stations and other national retailers have sold high Jackpot tickets as well but I always seem to read stories about the smaller stores with a lot of the winners.
Has it always been this way? Are my odds slightly better at a small hole in the wall convenient store?
