Initially Tennessee's pick 3 and pick 4 games were chosen from ping pong balls. Then 5 or 6 year they started using the computer to generate the numbers. Not long after they started using the computers, players noticed that several weeks had went by and no double of triple number had come out. This went on for weeks. Then after complaints from the players the lotto admins. looked into the problem and discovered that the company that had won the contract for the computer generated software...their programmers had mistakenly coded the program to NOT release two of the same numbers during a given draw, thus you didn't have doubles or triples coming out. They tried to make amends to people who had not thrown away their old tickets, but lots got screwed because they threw their tickets away. From that day forward, I believe TN controls what numbers come out because their total payouts are lower than the majority other lottery states.

We were just discussing this on our thread yesterday. They are a bunch of crooks. We have a very low lottery rating in Tn.
