Darn I sure should have looked at what other states got today before I went to the store....went at almost cut off time anyway...look at this...we followed KY & NJ today...darn!...PLUS it was right there in the 810 followers!

I used to think people were talking crazy when they said numbers "travel" but I see what they mean now!

Kentucky4-8-9

New Jersey4-8-9

North Carolina8-4-9

And Ok got it yesterday!!!

Oklahoma8-9-4

I have noticed NC WILL on occasion follow some states, but usually not.  It depends if Alice has the master 1-off switch turned "on" so they can rake in more bucks.  By using the AFDPS, I usually use system B and can hit Day or night, but when the switch is turned off, I have to use C.  At least this is my experience.

Sat out tonight to regroup and will be back playing tomorrow if time allows.

It's hard to plunk down $20 for a scratch card but they do have the best odds of winning.

You can go online to the NCEL website & look at all of the cards & you can see what the odds are on them.

The dollar ones are terrible but sometimes you can get lucky with them but if you buy any of them get at least 5 to 10 of the same kind & you may get lucky on one of them with a good win.

Congrats on your win Vergie, well deserved!!

I can tell you from experience and what I have heard thru people that work at these stores regarding Scratch-offs.  Me and a buddy used to go into them very deep and we would buy $600 books (30 tix) at a time.  Another regular player at a store I go to ALWAYS ends up going thru one or 2 books (over $600!!!) and does not leave with a big winner (YIKES!)

The Odds they post are NOT realistic, nor consistent with how it plays in real life.  It says odds 1:2.9, but usually the overall odds of winning a top price are 1:1.4MILLION (Total # of tickets in game) or so.  On average when we would go in together on a book, we would only get about an average 40%!!!  Return on 30 tix =  $600 invested and this happened MANY times over, from multiple stores in our area.  the 1:1.3 or so odds are thru the life of the game.  We have had 10 dead tix in a row before we got a $50 or $100 winner and then 3 dead ones afterwards the $20/$25's/$30 (30 tix total in game).

On occasion, I still buy them now and then, but don't get sucked in like I used to and spend $ on P3 P4 which has some strategy to it finding that 1 number out of 1k or 10k that wins (and being frustrated when 1 off too many times LOL).  I have won $1,000 2 x over 5 years and believe me, I am NOT money ahead and both wins came when I bought one tix at a time!

Keep in mind, most $20 NC games run over a year, they "Stage" the bigger $ prizes to keep it going longer.  On the contrary, SC may have all of their top prizes won in a few months and they state "Game may  continue to be sold even after top prizes are won".  This is why "most" SC stores will post the winners left list by the tix.

My advice (just my .02 worth from experience), play occasionally, if you get a winner, walk away as the next one is usually a dud.  Since I buy one here and one there, I have done better than buying 2, 3 or 4 at a time hoping the big one is in there....... it was not.

Sorry for the novel, but I have been there and done that in real life and wanted to share my experience with folks.  The confessional is now closedBig Grin Angel and we return you to your normal P3 forum!

    GL to All!

                GL to All!

Thanks for the congrats & the info about buying scratch cards!

When I mentioned to buy 5 to 10 at a time I was talking about the dollar ones not the $20 ones...not too many people I know of can buy that many of them at one time anyway...what I do is buy one of them ($20 ones) & if it don't win I make a decision if I want to buy another one or not...did buy 2 before I won the $1000 on one but bought 2 at one store....thought I lost on both but actually had won on one but it made me so mad I went to another store I knew had a lot of winners & that's when I got the big win.

Yesterday I bought the one & was lucky enough to get the $100 on it so left with my p3 tickets & the card.

One time a few years ago I went to the lottery claims office here & bought a whole roll of $10 ones...was going to get another kind but they didn't have it...so settled for a different one...Jumbo bucks...(the old one not the one now)...that was the first mistake I made settling for one I didn't go to buy...anyway when Christmas came & I scratched all of them off I had paid $300 for the roll & I won exactly half $150 & I said right then I'd never ever do that again & I never have....the reason I did it in the first place was because I knew someone who did get a $1000 win that way on the card I had "intended to buy"...so should have gone to another store to buy what I came to buy or just walked out...the result could have been the same but I always wondered about it...lol

Now let me mention p3 because we do have posters on here who do not like to read about anything but p3 & that's the way it should be but so far we've been lucky getting off the subject but the reason I brought it up was because Angelmama is having a hard time getting a p3 win so I just asked if she had thought about buying some scratch cards since I have had good luck with them.

Ok last night we had 480...I didn't play & it's a good thing because I wouldn't have played it (so still have my winning card)....today if it comes from day to day 849 I feel pretty good about 289 429 426 or 268 & if it comes from 480 I like 880, 440, 280 or 218!...these are what I call "gut feeling" numbers & sometimes I get lucky that way...have not done any studying yet but sometimes that don't do any good anyway...who knows which way the wind will blow the balls to the chute opening anyway...not anybody!

                More gut feeling numbers are 329 326 389 386 823 421 420 089 086 189 186.

By the way you asked on another thread what the middle numbers were on the bottom of the card....they were 283163!

Now please tell me why you wanted to know!....thanks ahead of time...bet it has something to do with p3!

Good luck to you & everybody!See Ya!

...the reason I don't do it a lot is because most of the time they're on the "Fatcat" list anyway though I did post that I liked 216 & it hit & all of the 16's & 19's when 641 hit & a lot of times the number is in the followers I post.

Can you tell I've taken a zyrtec this morning...a real chatterbox but am trying to be helpful!...lol
