I am a numbers person, have a degree in math (although it is not part of my job) and am drawn to the lottery play as well as playing video keno at the casino.  I am not talking about statistics, since if you read them for either you are not likely to think it is a good bet.

I notice at the casinos keno players are quite adamant and usually don't play slots or cards.  Do you think this is true or what draws you to the "numbers" games?TrollArgue

I just got back from Vegas last week... first time there.  I couldn't wait to play Keno.

For me, I think it's just a "numbers" thing.  Like 'lottolaughs' says... "it's like a lottery game every 30 seconds".  For one... it's easier, and there aren't any rules to keep in the back of your mind, like say, Blackjack.

It's cheaper, and you can literally play for hours on the same 20$.

It's easier to see the numbers as well as patterns that show up, and adjust your strategy accordingly.

I was drawn to watching cards, but not so much playing cards.  I played a few hands at a Blackjack table with several friends.  It was alright, but I felt like I had no clue what I was doing... which was true.  Later I read that you should never sit down at a Blackjack table unless you have the "basic strategy" chart memorized.  I thought it was quite intimidating.

    Keep it simple

I love that quote "like a lottery game every 30 seconds".  Maybe you have summed it up for me as well.  I sort of lost interest in the lottery when I discovered video keno, but I do play the lottery...but the speed of the draws is maybe why.

Great to meet another keno player here...I did have the pleasure of meeting lottolaughs on another forum post.
