Who we're helping

Since 1994, more than £34 billion has been raised for Good Causes, funding over 450,000 projects. Every project makes a real difference to communities across the UK.

Since 1995 there have been more than 420,000 grants made. All figures and information relating to beneficiaries has been sourced from the Department for Culture, Media & Sport Lottery Grants database and does not include grants from the Olympic Lottery Distribution Fund. We want you to be able to locate current and recent projects that are relevant to you, so for this reason we are not plotting all 420,000 funded projects on the map itself. You are still able to see a simple list of these alongside the map for reference. If you would like your National Lottery funded project to appear on this map please tell us about it here.

                      UK NATIONAL LOTTERY

Since launch, the National Lottery has given over £53 billion in prizes and created over 3,700 millionaires.

The UK National Lottery returns a higher proportion of lottery revenue back to society than any other lottery operator in the world through prizes and Lottery Duty (about 40 per cent of sales).

National Lottery funding contributed almost £2.2 billion towards the costs of staging the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London
