Does anyone know how this works. The game 596 1 million dollars a year for life is in the final sales. Whatever is left to be sold is being sold now. But what if the ticket get destroyed and NYS Lottery knows it destroyed that card when a retailer went out of business. So now they know there is no more top prizes but would they still sell the remaining tickets knowing this. It seems that it could hurt their credibility that they rely on so much, if they knowingly are still selling the tickets and the top prize ticket is destroyed, that is what concerns me.
Has this happened before where a game ended with an unclaimed top prize ticket left.
Thank you for your advice.
