We all know the bigger casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.  My gambling buddy and I are always on the hunt for fun and adventure and have run across commercial as well as Indian casinos across the United States.

Do you know of any local or out of the way gems?

(I'll start with two...Casino Pauma in Valley Center,California and Tortoise Rock Casino in 29 Palms, California...both small but mighty...lots of penny slots and both have great pizza!)Lovies

Slots and Keno..at the Casino...Keep me happy....and not so Mean-o.

I like spirit mountain casino in grande ronde, oregon their brunch on sunday is excellent and only $16.95 and you get carved prime rib, ham and turkey.  Plus about 50 other breakfast and lunch items.-weshar75

Thanks weshar...part of the experience is the food.  That is quite reasonable too..the buffets in California are topping $30 a person and it kind of makes the variety (even though its good) not seem like a deal at all.  Guess I got to spirit myself up to Oregon for a look.

I think the highest spirit mountain gets is about $20 for seafood night.  If you like deserts they have a desert bar with gelato, ice cream bar, pies bye the slice, cake bye the slice, cookies brownies they have a chocolate fondue for dipping.  They also have a pizza oven for fresh pizza and I think the buffet pizza taste better than dominos and pizza hut.  The buffet is set up for themed stations like southwest and asian and mexican foods.  So for $20 you get a lot of options to eat you won't go hungry at spirit mountains buffet and they have crab legs on seafood night.  Alot of people eat that me I like the prime rib and baked salmon.-weshar75

I also want to add the little casinos in Black Hawk Colorado.   They were off the beaten path, but sort of a Western throw back feel.  I also liked the Riverboat Casinos in Illinois.  Greektown Casino is nice in Detroit and what a lovely waterfall and atrium in Casino Windsor which is in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.  They had a great brunch with real bread pudding and a decadent vanilla sauce.
