l want to read of an American Indian winning the lottery.

People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it- George Bernard Shaw.

The Lottery said, he purchased the ticket legally. Therefore the money is his.   Congratulation to him on his win!  Party

That is true. The question is more about taxes. Also if your country, the USA, is in war with Iraq, it can have a law that denies the win. A court can decide not to give the win. So, even if the law says that he can get the money, taxed or not, there still can be an instance or president saying, njet!

It must be legal as he claimed his jackpot. He will probably use his newfound wealth to get his family out of Iraq. If I was in his shoes, I would get an ethical lawyer and apply for a green card.

We all get a lot out of lotteries!

I am happy but surprised that he got the prize. I have always been skeptical about playing lotteries through middlemen.

I only play directly with lotteries by subscription. I would like to know how much commission the winner was charged?

No commission as stated in earlier articles. The company charge the tickets 2,5-3 times more instead.
