I would be happy with the beginning jackpot. Instant retirement. No more rat race.

I Agree! The beginning Million Dollar Jackpot would do just fine.

I do agree - the excitement level for a 75M$ pot is low to nonexistent.  Excitement would start hitting for me around 600M$.

After this last big run up, I gave some thought as to whether or not I'd really want to win that big, and I decided that I'd rather win a much lower jackpot.

All players that win a jackpot say they want their life to remain the same as it was prior to the big win.  But they really don't have much choice in the matter because their life is going to change whether they want it to, or not.

I too would want my life to stay pretty much the same as it is now, but obviously it's not going to. So if change I must, then change me the least that I can be changed.  By winning a lower amount, my thinking is that it would be an easier adjustment to make to a new lifestyle.  But who knows?  Maybe it wouldn't be easy at all.  G5

About playing the lottery --  You will lose more than you win. Until you hit a jackpot.  Then everything changes!

Did you exchange a walk on part in the war ?

For a lead role in a cage?

I'd be excited to WIN a million bucks.  But I won't get excited at the prospect of ENTERING another lottery until the JP is 50 billion because I think it would be fun to be on a par with Bill Gates.  Jester

those are some high numbers... might as well add a trillion while your at it

Like others said... starting JP would suit me just fine...

As for getting the non regular players excited again... be interesting to see, but I'm guessing it will have be near 500M.

I noticed PB made a larger jump than usual... 60 to 75M?

we already have the trillion motto lotto.

                      it's Mega Millions.

Mega means million, so it's a Million Millions or 1,000,000 x 1,000,000 or 1,000,000,000,000 known as Trillions.

it's all hidden in plain sight.

I Agree! The beginning Million Dollar Jackpot would do just fine.

If players want a large jackpot, the can create one on any drawing.

Had players bet the same $1,270,206,274 they bet on the $1.5 billion jackpot last night, the jackpot would be $632.1 million. It's ticket sales that produces the large jackpots and with all the "what if's" included, one winning ticket last night would be worth more than each winning ticket from the record jackpot.

Exactly. 15 mil MM starting jp would do me just fine.   Current 48M is pretty exciting.

1 Bil is probably more excitement than I could handle.
