I've been lookin' for and playin' the hottest C4L numbers of 2017 -- 24 37 & 48. They all have 10 hits this year. (The biggest hitter of the year usually has 18 hits) and I figure they gotta pop soon. Maybe tonite. But if they don't, I'll be back on 'em come next Monday. I'm playin' those boogers til they fall. As usual, I'll be playing C4L tonite, but yesterday I did something I hardly ever do when it come to playing the lottery.
We drove over to Connecticut and while there I bought three lines of PowerBall with the PowerPlay. I'll have some New York PB tickets as well because I'm in a pool at work. My wife has to go to Pennsylvania on business next Wednesday, so I asked her to get a couple of lines of PB while she's over there. Net of all this is I might have to go to three state's lottery headquarters to claim any decent size prizes I might win. Except I aint holdin' my breath about having to do that. The odds on that happening must be worse than the 292 million to 1 odds against me winning the PB jackpot.
But what if it really happened??
I can see the newspaper headlines now: Screwball hits Lotto jackpot in THREE STATES!
Hmmmm. Jersey aint too far away either. Maybe I'll...naaaah.G5

I can relate to that! I play in MD & DE each week for various games. Work takes me very close to PA & NJ once a week so wouldn't be hard to get there. Plus VA & DC are not to far either, so could cover 4 states & DC.
But have not played C4L in a while, still waiting for a bigger hit before playing.

Last nite:7 8 12 35 39 CB 4
Bunch of low hitters... biggest hitters were #7 #8 & #39 with 6 hits each in 2017 (now 7) combined with the 2nd lowest hitter among the Cashballs - #4. #35 was longest out at 33 draws, the other four numbers hit within the last 10 draws.
I keep waiting for # 's 24, 37 & 48 to fall, (the hit leaders in 2017, all with 10 hits) but no luck yet. G5

Just took a look at last nite's winning numbers...glad I didn't have the $$$ to play! (Thanks to PowerBall I busted my lottery budget. But today's payday so I'll be back in action soon.)
One winner in FLA of C4L's 2nd place prize of $1000 a week for life last nite. G5

Q: How many times in one month does the hottest C4L number of the month hit?
A: Usually 3, but I've seen one month this year when one number had 4 hits.
Q: How many times would you expect a C4L number to hit in one month?
A: It's 1. Most numbers will hit at least 1 time per month, but many wont hit at all in a single month of drawings.
In August, #'s 4, 8, 12, 20, 32 & 39 all have hit twice this month, so they're the numbers that could hit 3 times this month given that there are only two more drawings in August. My money is on #32. Why? Because it hit last nite, and it already has 9 hits in 2017. In the last "rolling year" (8/26/16 to 8/25/17) #32 has 14 hits.... 14 hits in one years time for any C4L number is a huge number of hits! G5

Can anybody please explain something to me?
C4L is three years and two months old. Last Thursday nite was the 334th drawing that has been held since 6/16/2014 when the game's 1st drawing was held. The very first CashBall drawn was #3.
Sine June of 2014, the #2 CashBall has been dominant. (It was drawn for the first time in the second drawing of C4L.)
Here's a breakout through 334 drawings of the number of times each CashBall has been drawn;
Number 2 has been drawn 98 times. (29.3% of drawings)
Number 3 has been drawn 81 times. (24.3% of drawings)
Number 4 has been drawn 79 times. (23.7% of drawings)
Number 1 has been drawn 76 times. (22.8% of drawings)
Wouldn't you think that after 334 drawings that they'd each have been drawn approximately 25% of the time? That said, my guess is that after thousands of drawings the percentages would fall closer to 25% each.
In other lottery games I play, there is always a number that dominates. For instance, after 7,447 drawings of NY's Take5, #6 has been drawn 1,034 times. It has remained the the highest number drawn for years! Why is that? can somebody explain that to me?
In C4L, the number that's been the most drawn over the life of the game is #8 having been drawn 40 times. But #'s 37 & 43 are close behind with 39 hits each. That seems reasonable...doesn't it?? Maybe the lottery isn't as random as some people say it is. Then again, maybe it is! G5

I've been taking a hard look at C4L over the life of the game. (334 drawings from 6/16/14 to 8/24/17) I'm trying to get a handle on the behavioral characteristics of the numbers, but it isn't that easy to do because C4L is still a young game as compared to games that have been around for many years. It doesn't help that there are just two drawings per week either. That simply means it will take a long time for clear patterns to emerge.
After 334 drawings, each C4L number is expected to have 28 hits. #8 is the biggest hitter with 40, and #'s 37 & 43 are right behind it with 39 each.
From my string of numbers in the above post, #8 & #12 are one-skips. Like many lottery games from many different states, C4L is definitely a one-skip game. It has more one-skips (121 to date) than any other skip. That makes me think I should definitely play #'s 8 & 12 harder tomorrow nite than the others. (Although I'll probably play all of the numbers in that string sprinkled throughout my lines.)
The first full year of data (2015) shows #47 had 18 hits, followed by #43 with 17. 2016 shows #'s 4, 37 & 55 with 15 hits each, followed by #'s 17, 25, 32, & 40 with 13 hits each. From January 1st 2017, thru last Thursday, #'s 24, 37, & 48 have 10 hits. #'s 6, 28 & 32 all have 9 hits. So because we're two-thirds the way thru 2017, and those numbers are two-thirds the way to 15 hits, one of them will be C4L's biggest hitter of 2017. I'd play them all regularly through the remainder of this year.
In 2014, I took at the numbers and doubled the number of the biggest hitters hits. (The game only had a six months of drawings in 2014, so the best I could do is double the big hitters and project the number of hits they might have had.) #'s 8 and 9 each had 10 hits, so I projected them to have 20 had there been 104 drawings in 2014. 20 hits is so big of a number that I doubt that would have happened. The interesting thing though, is that #8 has been the biggest hitter from the start, and it still is to this very today.
At any rate, I've learned that 15 hits in one years time for any number means that it will probably be the biggest hitter of the year. That's born out when I look at "rolling years" too. From August 25th 2016, until August 24, 2017 the biggest hitter was #37 with 16 hits. #19 was right behind it with 15.
One more thing and I'm done. Do you get discouraged because you never have any numbers on your ticket? I know I do sometimes. Well, LET THAT BE YOUR MOTIVATION OR WHAT DRIVES YOU TO BECOME A WINNER!! It's NOT easy. It's never going to be easy. But don't give up. Just keep playing smarter until you get what you want. G5

Here I go again.... believe me, I know I'm wearing you out.
Just like other lottery games, C4L likes to have most of the five winning whiteball numbers come from the last 4 drawings. Many times four of the winning numbers come from the last four or five drawings. And yes, I've seen a few times where all five winning numbers appeared in the preceding four or five drawings.
When picking your numbers, make the majority of them numbers that have appeared in the last four or five drawings. You'll probably be glad you did. G5

Thanks!
I do the same thing. In New York they allow us to do "partial QP's" If I pick three numbers on the bet slip, and also color in the QP box, the lottery terminal will pick the other two numbers. Many times I've bought a partial QP along with my self picked lines.
I like the #2 CashBall for tonite and I'm playing it on all but one of my lines. Usually I'll buy four lines and play #1, #2, #3 and #4 CashBall. That way I'm guaranteed to always have the CashBall on my ticket, but if it's the only number I have on that line, then I don't win anything.G5

Here's an interesting stat I just learned about C4L....
There are just three numbers that have hit in back to back drawings (repeated) five times in the entire history of C4L. (#8, #23 & #56) No C4L number has ever repeated six times. Notice that #8 is among them, and that it's the all-time biggest hitter of the game with 40 hits!
There are three numbers that have double repeated twice. (they've hit in three consecutive drawings twice over the life of the game) They are: #17 & #43. #43 is the second biggest hitter of the game (right behind #8) with 39 hits. #17 is the fifth largest hitter with 34 hits over the life of the game.
There has never been a number that has hit in four (or more) consecutive drawings of C4L. G5
