Well, I was wrong. Usually when a workup is as flat as the one above, the draw comes out of the numbers with zero total back-check hits. In this case, 297 had two hits, not one-hop back hits but two hits nevertheless. Hmm...
So, for the night draw, the only thing that changes is the "followers" list and the "tiers of the top 3" list that deflates the results of the top 3 workups, Followers, Date, and Sync.
And here's what that looks like. Combine this with the workup from above.
And that's all I got. Still nothing overwhelmingly interesting. About the only thing I see is that 529 is trying to break through. And 529 has exactly the same Back-Check Workup as 297 did, Zero One-Hop Back-Check Hits and 2 Total Back-Check Hits. That would be my play for tonight.

I found the wrong number, but I was right as rain about tonight's winning number having the same back-check workup as the day winner:
501 has 0 One-Hop Hits and 2 Total Hits - exactly the same as the day draw.

thanks for all the hard work! and putting such valuable data to good use, (I think the more of this data that is available, the more it will help to see where the numbers of the "winning" draw originate from) I knew if anyone would/could put this data to use, it would be you!
THANKS FactorX
When you were a kid, did you ever do that thing where you tried to see if the refrigerator light really went out when you you closed the door? If so, this post is for you! As y'all know the VA Lottery does five drawings every time, three test draws, the actual draw that they post, and then a post drawing draw after the actual draw. MikeNMotley has been getting this info via a FOI request and it seemed like a shame to waste his effort, so I decided to put my nose to the grindstone and do the work to find out if the light is really on when the refrigerator door closes.
So, here's what I did. I printed the PDF of all the numbers, transcribed the Pick 3 numbers Then I went to the January thread, hit the "Print" button, copied out all the text from the January thread and pasted it into a test file with the numbers. I then crushed the test file with a combination of macros and hard frigging work. The results are below. In every case, what I've done is try to preserve the context of the post so everybody can see where their number came from, eg Taylorcat has a bunch of winners from the "Historical" part of her workup. I worked as fast as I could so there may be a few errors and glitches in there. If you find something that bothers you, drop me a PM and I'll fix it and post the patch. Otherwise...
Enjoy!!!
I forgot to mention, because there are so many hits, I didn't have time to highlight them all, so I just left in the nonsense word "kapeep" that I used to mark the hits. The number to the immediate left of the word "kapeep" is the hit. Sorry!!!
