This digit string has been discussed over and over again in the systems forum. Pen and paper users are very familiar to this.
Instead of showing the records, like on lp, another version is possible. The string version concatenates the digits of each position. You can follow in less paper or computer page space, more digits. That is the practical side. Lining up digits is one workout.
If you read each string you can use all the mathematics that you know or learned. Repetitions? You can tell easily.

These are just two uses. Put fifty digits in records and you have fifty lines. That's too much for a laptop or small screen.
I did the font change manually above. I can have missed cases.
When a player view LP, he/she should not have to visit anothe website to understand a post.
- This isn't even commented on my website at this time.

I can eliminate, what ever digits, say high digits. You could strike them on paper, or use a gum.

I did similar with couples, but won't display it here. I did that in another post. Above you get isolated all low digits. You can tell the formations.
Another use of strings can be a transformation, like for v-tracing. Basically you do digit replacement.
01234569 -> becomes 0123401234

Any replacement can be done, like on paper. No complicated formula needed, simple replacement.
It is up to you what you see in the data and what you are looking for. Strings of digits use less space than rows or drawings. Boxed can be done too.
What do you want to understand when the payout is half of you would get of a fair game? You would quit and play roulette with a French wheel!
