  In conjunction with usamega.com, it not only keeps me in touch with the major lotto jackpots, but when someone wins prize 2, I'm also notified.

  
  It's far easier for me to dream about winning 1 million, than 168 million, for example. (even though the taxes that would be taken out would leave me wanting considerably more)

  Ideally though, it's Lotto that needs to be changed. It needs to advertise its jackpots as "Jackpot with taxes paid!", or "Taxes paid on all claimed jackpots.". This way, the Math-challenged public doesn't have to think about what they'll actually get. I think the Feds could come up with an average # to pre-take out of the jp to make all jackpots 'free of obligation' to them.

  I found this site actually through one of the search engines.  When I was looking up my nieces bday and this came up.  Now if I can just find some patterns on numbers and hit a huge jackpot.  Seems that the powerball is weird and the mega is something else.

  That's the easy answer. 

  My friends and co-workers tire easily of my fascination with statistics and predictions over all things lottery related.  Here I find like-minded people and many who make me look like the dimmest bulb in the batch - and I love that.
