No I don't know who it was and I don't know if the person is a member active on this site.

 

However I do wish my dad was alive and I would give a member on here a better answer.  His beef was about taxes being taken out and paying a fair share.

 

Here is an answer my dad used to tell me.  How do you know anything about the person?

 

Seriously as we all know that most lottery winners spend every dime of that money and go broke.  1-5% will actually save the money and maybe spend a portion such as paying off different bills, mortgage, house, car, etc.

 

Here is what I will say.  So the lottery paid $30k to that franchisee owner and guess what they will probably have to claim it on their return.  Why not do a favor?  Ask the lottery commission why are lottery winners being taxed?
