  388 has a crazy workup for today, the first time a number has blown up since I've been doing workups for the Hoosier Daily 3. 388 is also trending in the past week in the All-States workup. If I were there in Indiana, I'd cover it in the day draw to make sure I didn't get caught out. Then I'd check to see if the day draw was a leader number of 388.

  The 388 leader numbers are 001 004 012 028 068 120 148 156 171 172 178 181 203 296 304 344 353 386 392 431 450 453 473 501 534 540 595 608 613 619 640 676 683 686 705 709 760 767 799 806 832 845 899 976 983 995

  If one of those were to show in the day draw, then I'd play 388 for a buck. Or two. Lol.

  Nope. 579. No 388 and no 388 leader number, either. I'd still throw 50 cents at 388 straight tonight, but I'm beginning to think this one was a bogey. We'll see...

  So, here's a little follow up to yesterday's post.

  That's, like, pretty clear, right? lol.

  So, here's what happened. Today (Saturday) I ran the usual automated program that I use to scour the numbers in all the states and again, just like yesterday, there was a Disturbance in the Force in Indiana. I was busy this morning, so I figured I would get back to this later and figure out what's going on. It didn't take long. I back-checked the numbers by hand and found the source of the disturbance right away. Here it is:

  On May 14th, 2016 Indiana drew the following:

  05/14/2016; Midday: 847; Evening: 977

  Okay, so no big deal, right? Well, check what Indiana drew on  November 11th, 2008:

  11/22/2008; Midday: 847; Evening: 977

  Look familiar? A little, eh? Essentially, what happened was that my program fixated on that little coincidence and when it did, it skewed the heck out of the workups. Yesterday, I thought I'd hit a magic number, but when the same thing happened today, I had to figure out what was going on and that was it. 

  And, yeah, I'll know better next time.
