I have started experimenting with the various settings in Lottery Statistics Analyzer (LSA v 6.0.6)
Has anyone found the best settings for best results in predicting numbers from this software. I am looking for results for pick 5/35 games such as Mass Cash?
I am particularly interested in these items:
The best smoothness setting. The manual says that a smoothness of .37 is good. However, I noticed that the default setting in the software itself is actually .25.
So far, I have gone from .25 to .50 in increments.
and which regression analysis gives the best results. There are 4 different kinds of analysis in the software:
Exponential
Linear
Logarithmic
Polynomial
There are also these types of regression analysis in the software drop down menu:
LOWESS (Locally Weighted Scatterplot Smoothing)
std (standard)
min (minimum)
med (medium)
avg (average)
Max (maximum)
dev (deviation?)
Is there a statistics or probability expert who can point out which one of these LOWESS settings will be the most likely to give the best results.
If any one has found good or excellent settings, please do post. Thanks.

Same problems I had with it. It seems finding the best settings means looking at the charts, I wish you could just go by that range prediction of sorts in the text, but it does not seem to narrow that much. I had found that the settings can change from ball position to ball position which complicates matters considerably. Also its not just one of the 4 different kinds of analysis but which combination gets you into the ball park for each position. It is a no joke task, but I have had some success with, but only to the extent of 1-3 number hits ands thats without finding the ideal settings I have spent sometime goimg thru it incrementally only just to give up and make a selection which I felt was less than ideal. It has been awhile since I last used LSA but I think it exports to excel. The idea being to export or use a script to compare the results in history (there are instructions for editing the game data base file)with each possible setting for each ball for X number of games of history to find an ideal. If I could figure a way to automate this I would probably run it with an updated history for each game before I played. One mistake I made with it long ago... When editing the game history file make sure each number set is lowest number to highest number, some states game history is listed from their web sites as drawn which can put your analysis all over the place. Also be sure to only use history since the last game change both Mega Millions and Powerball have changed the numbers in the game which changes the history you can use, I had a similar issue when NC Cash 5 chaned from 39 numbers to 41 numbers, it takes some googling to find out exactly when that change occured then only use those numbers foward. Have you ever been able to get a working email address for Miracomm??? Everytime I tried the one from the web site it did not work. I could not get the history data base to update, the last time I emailed them they said something had changed and they were going to redo their server ( i think its been awhile). Even so they might just update a complete history which you only need the history since the last game change, and I think the docs recommend only using the last 15 games or so of history. Also watch the wheels this software gets you in a range of numbers to wheel. I tend to lean toward a balanced wheel of the most common of sums, odd, even, and cycle (skip and hit/overdue).

I had LSA for a few years back, but not using it anymore, since I found something better. However, during that time the owner always respond my emails.
Now if you go to the main website, they have active forum for users. You will find link on the right. I checked it recently and I see the administrator was active not too long ago. So forum seems very active. You should try to ask your questions there.
P.S. Just actually went to forum again and red it that he had new version of LSA came out. Looks more interesting that the old one, I might even try it again.!

So you found something better? I hope that something better is a software program. Please do let me know. Please post in this forum, or if not, feel free to send a private message to me at my user name.

Sure, no problem, I just did not wanted to interrupt the topic at first, since it was about LSA , which is good software too.
Anyway, I think the better one is software Expert Lotto, I did not hit big with that yet, however it has all the math, statistics filtering stuff, by positions and etc.. It does have many options, even some of them I still have to dig in to learn, because I am not that math savvy person. If you Google it it should come up, I don't think I can post link in here. It is more pricey though, but worth the investment in my opinion. I think they also have trial download so you can try it. The owner Stan is very nice, always have great costumer support and always active forum where you can chat with others if you have questions or look for tips. I think I heard from other members here good things about that too. You can try to search it in here and see what others saying.

Dear tvpventures,
Thank you very much for your reply. It is interesting that you think that Expert Lotto is actually better than LSA.
I already have Expert Lotto. The main problem is that this software requires Flash. This is why I have it on my laptop instead of my desktop. The big problem with flash and java is that they make computers vulnerable to viruses and malware.
This bit of information (your opinion) is all the more incentive and reason for me to dig into that extremely long and complex manual and read it again and really understand it.

You're right! About one week ago, I have noted that Jamie seems to begin LSA's renew now.
In LSA's Forum, he said: OK then, V7 is coming, New features in this upcoming version....
A very powerful new feature in version 7 is the ability to clone and merge draws....
Sounds good!
But three months have passed away the website is still not working and the program
is still to keep the old version: V6.0.6.
I have tried to register the Forum again and again last week but it's failure.
Then I sent some E-mails to them but no answer until now.
Maybe, we need to wait awhile......
Jamie, Get onthestick please!
Saying Lotto #s Can be Predicted means that Lotto's ODD can be reduced down to an economical level by a system.
Saying a Lotto System Works means that we can win constantly (not each draw) and economically (get a real profit) by using the System.

I disagree with your opinion:the better one is software Expert Lotto!
I have ordered and used Expert Lotto since 2005.
Based on my experiences more than 10 years, I think the EL just is a complex
garbage even though it has a good costumer service.
Not only it has so many Filters in which they include too many uncertainties to
select but also it brings the great pressure, time consuming and financial lost to the all users.
When the members're complaining with, Stan (the owner of Expert Lotto ) said:
The mistakes not come from my system but from you can not select the Filters
or the Settings correctly
What a real good excuse is !!!
In fact, No any member including Stan himself can get any bigger win
by using the Expert Lotto since it was born.
Finally, I do suggest don't wait your money and time on Expert Lotto!!!

Great, you know then about it. You don't like it is ok. I like it better because EL software have much more futures then LSA and everything what is in LSA is there too. That's why I think it is better. I dont use all complex filters in there, but sure it is good help and good filtering system when I need do many filtering like by positions, intervals, frequencies and etc..
I am sorry I provide you a" bit of information" I don't know what were you looking from me to tell you. You asked, I answered. I just said what I think better. And you dont have to use all complex filters btw... Anyways, sorry it is did not work out for you...

Ok. Great, you disagree, I respect this. Of course we all different and if some software good for some it may be not good for others. It is normal.
I disagree with you though that is "complex garbage" as you said. There is some futures that is very unique, but yes, complex, but the filters if you learn how to use them can help you narrow down combinations very well. And btw before purchase software you can try it and see if it is for you, so if you saw that is so complex for you, why did you even purchase it. ? I don't really understand.

Time consuming and financial lost for all users??? I am user, but I am ok. I am not complaining, I am the one who purchased it. I made the decision. No body pushed me to do that. It is actually help my time and I am not in financial lost. I am very responsible for my actions, meaning for money that I spend. I look in to this software at first for a while before purchasing. I new it has many futures, filters that I have no understanding of it, but I purchased because I need some filters that I can use. I know many others who very happy with that too.
You the one who responsible for the finances or budget that you spend for playing the lottery or purchasing this software. You have to make a choices if it is for you or not.
"In fact, No any member including Stan himself can get any bigger win

That is not true. I just chat with the guy on the EL forum not too long ago, I think in April, he finally hit Bonus Match Jackpot (Maryland State) which pays $50.000 with the Expert Lotto software using some filters. It is there on the forum. He even gave me some tips what he has been doing. I won 400$ in same BM and also small prizes. Also some people, I think, if they would hit Jackpot with that they might never come out and tell. I wouldn't tell probably myself. If I hit huge win I am not sure if I would come out and tell. I would like to keep private. So you never know how many big hitters out there.
Finally, I don't think you will ever find the software that will bring you big win like Jackpot or anything right away. If such software would be created, i don't think it would be on the market at all. From my experience you have to just try things and do what works for you. I use Expert Lotto occasionally with also some of my other ideas that i have that I am using on the paper, but for me it is a huge help usually when I need to look several filters, to narrow down combinations, that if I would not have EL software, I would have to do to much paper work or would have to use several softwares like LSA and other little ones they have online. EL have basically everything in one place when I need it.
Ok. Guys sorry you did not like it, it is work well for me. Best of luck to you guys!!

"Java exposes and makes computers vulnerable to viruses and malware"? Is it just the old applets that you are referring to or in general about anything that runs on jvm?
Updating both flash and Java to latest versions will help keep older vulnerabilities off. If you don't update JRE and stay on Sat for example an older version of 1.5, of course your computer will be vulnerable. In that case, you have to first take out M$ WinDoze and move to unix/Linux based installation.
