It's KENO for the 21st century. Instead of marking a keno card & having a keno runner come around & pick it up or go to the parlor, you just play on your own phone

MGM Resorts to launch mobile wagering application in Nevada

MGM Resorts International announced plans Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, to deploy a mobile wagering system across 12 of its Nevada resorts later this year.

MGM Resorts International announced plans Monday to deploy a mobile wagering system across 12 of its Nevada resorts later this year.

The technology will be provided by GTECH Holdings. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The initial use of the technology will be to provide mobile sports wagering this summer. GTECH’s system will modernize the casino operator’s sports book operations to include live in-play betting.

In addition to offering in-play wagering, MGM Resorts customers will be allowed to place bets on their mobile devices from anywhere in Nevada.

GTECH Senior Vice President Matteo Monteverdi said the system allows MGM Resorts “to offer more gaming without requiring more space on the gaming floor.”

In addition, GTECH will provide technology that allows MGM Resorts customers to play real money gaming on their mobile devices on slots and table games from anywhere inside a company property.

MGM Resorts Senior Vice President of Business Development Thomas Mikulich said the product allows gamblers to “enjoy convenient and exciting new ways to wager seamlessly across multiple gaming channels.”

Mobile sports wagering has become common in Nevada. The technology is credited with helping drive a record $227 million in gaming revenue from sport wagering in 2014, an 11.8 percent increase over 2013.

Gamblers wagered $3.9 billion on sports in Nevada during 2014, a 7.7 increase. The amount bet on sports in Nevada has increased annually in the past five years.

MGM’s sports wagering and casino offerings will be combined under one application. Players will be able to link the programs to their customer loyalty accounts.

Las Vegas MGM Shifts Strategy To Focusing On Mobile Growth

It was only a matter of time before casinos began to realize that the future of their businesses will be largely based on consumers spending money through their mobile devices. MGM Resorts International became the first conglomerate to put mobile in play with the launch of real money tournaments in Las Vegas, which should prove wise for one of the largest entities on the Las Vegas Strip. MGM is offering the new mobile game play, referred to as easy PLAY MobileTournaments, at nine of its Las Vegas resorts: ARIA Resort & Casino, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, Luxor, New York-New York and Excalibur.  Protections have been put in place to only allow participants to play ...

Have a thought about a Keno playing strategy. I play 4-minute Keno in KY and a 1-spot pays $2 so if I were to bet $80 on say "13", I'd collect $160 or an $80 profit. In Vegas a 1-spot pays $3 and the same bet shows a $160 profit. Granted not very many players will bet $80 one Keno number, but if they played the one number with the other numbers making 79 2-spots, the same $80 bet, with the same conditions (matching just the one number) the payoff is $948 or a $869 profit.

And by playing multiple 2-spots, a player could bet $.25 a way, bet $20 and have the same $160 profit. It's probably next to impossible at a KY Keno terminal, but I believe it can be done on one ticket in Nevada.

Hey Stack, et al- Good to hear from you again

I Agree!  2 SPOTS are a very good play, if number pairs are working

A consistent 3-1 payoff (although seemingly relatively low), in Vegas is considered decent especially if it performs as a virtual arm lock within approx 3 to 7 games. One verifiable old timer Veteran regular won $30,000 on the number 12 @ Boulder Station - check with live keno supervisor via phone for confirmation.

            CA 4 minute Keno w/Bulls-eye

The Bulls-eye payouts are increased even more than during that last promo. Total return for the Bulls-eye games increases from about 65% average to a hefty 75% or more. This is comparable to the highest payout lottery games like high denomination Scratch games, no other draw game compares.

Most people know that Casino games payout is much higher than the lottery games in general, 90-99% compared to 50-70% respectively. But lottery Keno games are the sole exception: they are about as good/bad as their casino counterparts. So it's almost like going to a casino to play Keno.(the worst game in the room) But in this case of CA Hot Spot during the Bulls-eye promo, the payouts are even better than casino Keno!

Still overall I prefer the more predictable Power of putting the hammer down on a one spot or 2 in live parlor games it's just slow giving the player time to analyze number associations averaging 10 -12 games per hour.

Here are  some observations for 1 spot  that can easily be backtested , *#1 hits see how soon = #8 appears as  or #17 followed by #35 or vica versa. Again not each & every time but more often then not, better then cold number pics and well above the odds

*Want to know an interesting numeric phenomenon these numbers work well on Rulleta when adopted correctly for the game

"the payoff is $948 or a $869 profit."

That needs corrected because the KY Lottery payoff is $209 or a $130 profit and while $50 more than the KY 1-spot payoff, there is probably not enough time to make the bet.
