Bob  it seems you want to place a superscript in an occupied cell.  try Google and excel superscript. the & symbol lets you merge two items.

I'm curious why you want to do this?

Use apostrophe or set the format to text.

Bob what would be the purpose of having a number in the corner of the cell?

What type of calculation(s) are you trying to achieve?

          Hi Winsumloosesum,

what I was trying to do if it was possible ---BUTT it is not to have

a count number in the top left corner ...or vtrac number or etc...

would be a easyway to keep track of how many times hit or misses..

was just a thought butt cant be done----only maybe with

special software....anyway thanks for all who tried to help...
