Here in Texas when a store has sold a winning ticket, they post a large sign in front of their store that says "winning ticket sold here". I've seen many stores with that sign and it makes me wonder, how much is considered a winning ticket? I've seen far more stores with that sign than there are jackpot hits in Texas. I called the lottery and the representative said he's not sure but guess it's at least $10,000 and up which to me is not a winning ticket. Are they by law, required to post that sign? And how long until the store can remove it? The store across the street from me sold a $1 million prize last year from a mega millions second tier prize but it wasn't a quick pick, they have never posted that sign, why? That sign is to inform the public, but would you or would you not buy tickets from that store? I know there would be different opinions here, some say they would buy there since it is 'lucky' and some would say that they would avoid stores with that sign since chances are they won't hit again. However, recently I saw the same store in Brownsville, Texas hit the jackpot 3 times in less than 2 months. On 4-14-16, Texas two step, $950,000 in Brownsville, Texas exxon store 4990 n frontage. Then again on 5-31-16, mega millions second tier prize of $1 million, same Exxon store in Brownsville. Lastly on 6/8/16, $50 scratch card game high roller casino action, sold $7.5 million same Exxon store in Brownsville. I am outraged because this was certainly not a coincidence. Your thoughts?
