SQL-MAN's Wisconsin Pick 3 Charts ExplainedPrev TopicNext Topic
-
This post is my response to someone who sent me an email and requested an explanation of the charts that I post on the Wisconsin Pick 3 forum.
Disclaimer: Pick 3 is not viable way to earn money. Although some people do very well, most do not, which is why states use lotteries as a means to make a profit. My charts are one method for organizing 220 Pick 3 combinations into small groups.
For more information about the concepts regarding the use of these charts visit the URL: https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/304618 and read the following posts there:
Pick 3 Theories:

Again, my charts attempt to organize a large group of combinations into smaller groups that are easier to manage.
They do not predict a winner.
How do you organize your combinations ?
- I put combinations into groups that share a common digit. That common digit is called a key.
In the set 123, 134, 145, the key number is the number 1.
In the set 123, 134, the key is number is the number 3.
- Why do you group the combinations by keys?
I group the combinations by keys so that I may select a group of combinations that correspond to a repeating key or number found in the three digit series chart.
When I use the three digit series chart, shown below, I’m looking for 3 repeating digits that have occurred without a break. In this example, those three digits are 2, 5, and 8.
I can see that digits 2, 5, and 8 have repeated without break for the past nine days. Combination 694, which is listed at the bottom of the chart, does not contain the digits 2, 5, or 8. Therefore, combination 694 is a break in the three digit series.

How can I use this information to select combinations to play?
If you can narrow your selections to just three keys, you can eliminate a large set of numbers from the playing field.
I really don’t know whether keys 2, 5, or 8, will be drawn. If I’m lucky, one of them will be drawn in the next drawing.
However, I must also consider that none of those keys will be drawn. Why? Eventually, the 3 digit series will break. How many days will pass before it breaks? I don’t know. That’s something that you have to study for yourself.
How do you use sums?
I group the sums together by color so that it’s easier for me to spot the absence or presence of a particular sum group.
Below is the legend for the sum groups.
SUM KEY
16 - 25
12 -15
8 - 11
2 - 7
Since only one sum group can win on a given day, I only need to play one key and one sum group to win, but that rarely happens. I usually play 3 keys and 3 sum groups to have a better chance to win, but I still lose 50% of the time, if I play four out of seven days.
How do you know which sum group(s) to play?
I look for trends in the sum groups. If I don’t see a trend, then I don’t play.
In the example below, I’ve listed a portion of the last 20 drawings chart with the key 6 chart underneath it. Which sum group(s) should I play? If I play yellow, then I can play up to nine combinations. If I play blue, I can only play one combination. If I play the entire key, then I’ve selected 12 combinations.
I couldn’t identify a pattern of sum groups in the last 20 drawings chart that suggested to me which sum group to play. So, I decided not to play, which was the best choice for me.
It turns out that combination 016 won on September 8, 2016.

Rather than list all of the combinations for key 3 in one chart, I use root sums to divide the chart in half. You can look up what a root sum is at this website.
Do you think that your system is better than other systems? No. Why? Even though my charts have won nine days in a row (from August 31st, 2016 to September 8, 2016), I still have to select which combinations to play, and I can’t play all of them.
Inform your choices. Do the math.

From this table for WI you may get an idea how long at least one of 3 digits could be hitting consecutively. In the last 4000 draws (10+ years) at least one of digits 359 had max 13 consecutive hits (that happened 3 times in 4000 draws). But at least one of digits 068 showed up 29 times in a row (one time in 4000 draws).

Some people are obsessed with the sums. I wonder where they got that!

just follow sums odd sum even sum and also do the same for roots and short sums, u can narrow all this down, and also follow doubles, and odd even digits, for istance say u have 3 draws that came out even sums, so now concentrate on odd sum numbers only, and so on, get it?

That indicates that you extend the filters. You say: odd short sum | even short sum | odd sum | even sum. You create groups of numbers and say that they switch after a series of 3. You go boxed. I can tell you that there you have limitations.
I will make a sheet to check.

Sums are filters to compensate weakness of analysis. Then you come up with a weak play hoping for a hot streak.

"Sums are filters to compensate weakness of analysis."
That is not a useful statement, Sunglasses. Why not offer your opinion of a way to strengthen the analysis, rather than just shoot down SQL-Man's method?

Hello, sungla to the sum function you have a reference, or base,
Example the distance or Delta 1 digit of pick3
With the distance from the last digit
And the distance between them
Example
458 = 3 4 2
Where is 1 minus 4 = 3 one digit is less
8-0 = 2 0 zero equals 10 last digit =
The volar 4 is distance between the lowest to the highest
You have to find a crossing point with respect to the three delta
Then make the sum with a base or starting point or reference -

Opinion is all it is. Who cares do your own thing.
I'm sitting here listening to Merle Haggard sipping some coffee!
