Never had this happen before, filled out a play slip, stuck a dollar in the lotto machine (scratchers and draw games) and got a quick pick despite the play slip!

Scared

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

    So then what you do?

Couldn't get to that machine today (there are only two in town). Had a clerk at another store run the play slip, no problem.

It was probably one of the play slips CT marked to "mess with the real lottery players". Karma is B sometimes.

Put it in the machine today, ran it no problem.

Maybe the lottery fairy that lives in the machine was having a bad day the first time.
