I am no expert in mystical affairs. nor am I a dream master.
but, I know dogs.
what follows is probably the only time in history, that the truth, the whole truth,
and nothing but the truth, has ever been told in a court of law.
it was spoken in a Missouri court room back in 1869.
by a lawyer who later became a prominent Senator.
George Graham Vest.
it is the cold, hard, brutal truth, yet it is so beautiful that I have never
been able to read it without shedding a few tears.
the best friend a man has in the world may turn against him and become his worst enemy. His son or daughter that he has reared with loving care may prove ungrateful. Those who are nearest and dearest to us, those whom we trust with our happiness and our good name, may become traitors to their faith. The money that a man has, he may lose. It flies away from him, perhaps when he needs it the most. A man's reputation may be sacrificed in a moment of ill-considered action. The people who are prone to fall on their knees to do us honor when success is with us may be the first to throw the stone of malice when failure settles its cloud upon our heads.
The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him and the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous... is his dog.
a man's dog stands by him in prosperity and in poverty, in health and in sickness. He will sleep on the cold ground, where the wintry winds blow and the snow drives fiercely, if only he may be near his master's side. He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer, he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounters with the roughness of the world. He guards the sleep of his pauper master as if he were a prince. When all other friends desert he remains. When riches take wings and reputation falls to pieces, he is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey through the heavens. If fortune drives the master forth an outcast in the world, friendless and homeless, the faithful dog asks no higher privilege than that of accompanying him to guard against danger, to fight against his enemies, and when the last scene of all comes, and death takes the master in its embrace and his body is laid away in the cold ground, no matter if all other friends pursue their way, there by his graveside will the noble dog be found, his head between his paws, his eyes sad but open in alert watchfulness, faithful and true even in death."
Dogs are gaurdians, companions, playmates, friends, and to those of us wise enough
to understand them, they are teachers.
thier pack is thier family, and for many of us, our dogs are not just pets. they are a
loved member of our familys.
the type of bark has already been covered in this forum.
and your friend probably doesn't remember
the hair on the dogs back raised? tail lowered or raised?
was the dog jumping around? tail wag? etc.
we remember so little of our dreams, or at least I do.
so my best analagies are as follows.
the series of numbers that your friend recieved may have been a phone number or address.
and the dog may have been trying to warn her about. some place she shouldn't go. or
someone she should not have any more contact with.
thats the dog protecting his/her pack.
another probablity is that the dog was trying to get her attention.
letting her know that there is another aspect of her life that needs attention.
a posibility is that the dog was playing along.
since this is Lottery Post, lets examine it from a lottery/canine perspective.
how many times did the dog bark?
this is a very critical question.
if your friend was told the number 2, and the dog barked once
then the number would be either 21 or 3
depending on the dog. could be both, but I doubt it.
number given and the number of barks used as a didget. 21
this is a continuim (for a lack of a better word). the dogs work becomes part of your work.
the dog is contributing to the hunt. (on the same game trail.)
a sporting breed, working breed, or hound will produce this result more often than not.
number given plus the number of times the dog barked. 3
This is an example of the dog contributing to the hunt, but
competing with your friends friends efforts.
the dog is still trying to please your friend in her dream but
is not trying to hunt on the same trail. therefore the
dog is in competition, trying to beat out an opponent
in order to raise his position in the pack.
there fore the numbers must not run together. but are
added to.
herding breeds like the sheppard, border collie, will
would produce this result. bulldogs , terriors, boxers, may also.
a Lab will sometimes do both they are a versital
breed. mine screws me all up whenever I have tried
to interpret a dream of mine that she has been in.
these are just theories. I would have to know the dog
and the situation to be able to interpret what it really means.
Just my analogy. based on canine behavior.
Good Luck to you and your friend.
