  Ahhh....Mr Powerball. A lottery player's dream. A lottery player's nightmare.

  We have such a love/hate relationship with him.

  At 69 numbers, do we even stand a chance? Well...

  Let's look at some facts.

  Research is your best friend when going up against such an opponent.

  He boasts 69 numbers. I say, hogwash!

  1,083 jackpots have been won in the range of 1-49 numbers.

  I know most people buy quick picks but don't you hate getting those ones with all crazy high numbers?

  And here you probably don't even need them!

  From now on I'm knocking MR. PB down to 49 numbers.

   

  I always consider PB two different games. A regular 5 Spot game with a Power Ball.

  So what number should we always be playing?

  Currently Number 26 has shown up most in all drawing history.

  That gives us 194,580 odds whenever 26 is drawn to get 5 out of 5.

  Of course the PB is going to throw all those odds off but it sure sounds more manageable in my book.

  Think 5 Spot. Think 49 Numbers.

  I don't know, PB's been pretty tough for as long as i've been playing. Hell i rarely get even a PB match without spending $10+ on it
