First, sorry for the long post.
This referring to the tic-tac-toe workups that I post daily and refers to averages and percentages, not odds of winning.
Keep in mind there is error in rounding up to nearest whole number.
The average box hits is 1.5 boxes per month last year.
According to 2016 stats the averages are:
If we average the hits per average month of 30 days = 60 draws per month
4 box hit: 5 which averages 8% for the month
3 box hit: 9 which averages 15% for the month
2 box hit: 14 which averages 23% for the month
1 box hit: 17 which averages 28% for the month
No hits: 17 which averages 28% for the month
The tic-tac-toe averaged hits 72% in 2016.
Here’s the stats so far 1st quarter 2017
4 box hit: 4 which averages to 6% per month
3 box hit: 10 which averages 17% for the month
2 box hit: 13 which averages 22% for the month
1 box hit: 15 which averages 26% for the month
No hits: 18 which averages 30% for the month
The 1st quarter tic-tac-toe has averaged hits 70% of the time.
A players approach:
The top row of percent is calculated by the number of hits divided by the number of draws per month.
Box #1 increases the numbers in a counter-clockwise direction starting from the left.
Box #2 increases the numbers in a clockwise direction starting from the right.
Boxes #3 and #4 follow the same scheme.
Instead of jumping around box-to-box, I have found that staying within 1 or 2 boxes at the start of the month is best.
This the breakdown for the total number of hits per box for the 1st quarter 2017

This breakdown does not take into account multiple box hits and misses.
We average 7 repeats and 15 doubles per month annually, however 1st quarter 2017 has seen
Avg. doubles – 18.6
Avg. repeats – 6.6
I suspect that we will see this number rise as we move on through year.
I believe that the 2016 stats for doubles and repeats could be slightly higher, but I do not have access to all of my files right now.
Lastly, welcome to the newcomers to the VA thread. Good luck with the P3 game.
