DateLine: July 8th, 1947, Roswell, New Mexico
A New Mexico newspaper, The Roswell Daily Record quoted officials at Roswell Army Airfield as announcing they had recovered a 'flying saucer' that crashed into a ranch; officials than changed the story now saying it was a weather balloon. To this day there are informed sources who strongly believe what fell to Earth was an Alien spaceship carrying extra terrestrial beings and that the revised story was a secret intentional cover up plot. All debris at the ranch was suruptiously fine tooth combed and collected from the crash then spirited away to a hidden government warehouse out of state and never shown publicly since. It's further said that all involved personnel military & civilian were sworn to secrecy under severe penalty.
Some time since Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater who was a Air Force General, known for his stalwart integrity, had cause to visited the mid Western State which reputedly housed the crash evidence wherein he personally made a direct inquiry with an ostensibly friendly base commander /Air Force General and was abruptly told never to bring up the topic again under official military penalty ???
