Odd thing happened tonight.

The lottery guy/announcer on ch.7 says, and the powerball # is 12. But,it's not.It was 17. I just checked for the folks on the official PB website.

Question:

Since he made a little boo boo here, would this mean the people who had #12 still win a prize?

I don't play usually the PB. But, i know my mother and father just had 12 on about 5 tickets.

I always check here at lottery post for the results of my state and multi-state games. It is not on the announcer you have to check your tickets with reliable sources before you throw them out or rip them up.-weshar75

Sorry Cass, the #12 not a winner on the PB....for 7/12/17. (just another example of FAKE news) or the lottery guy may need eyes checked, BETTER LUCK NEXT PLAY $$$

This....you can't rely on an "announcer" for official results....you wait for the official results... and the lottery isn't liable for incorrectly announced results.

Official results count, not announcers.

But, we can give the announcer a break. Assuming he is human, we know that humans make mistakes.
