  With the price of the ticket changing from $1 to $2 the odds are going to change. 

  Come Halloween,

  Part of Mega Millions will be easier to win (TREAT!!), and part of the Mega Millions will be harder to win (TRICK!!).

  That means for many players, myself included, is that the only trick that I will see come October 31, are my 5/75 lottery software files becoming obsolete. 

  And the only treat, I will see, is having another $4 per week to play the better odds Pick 3.

  So with 388 drawing under the belt, the opportunity for any real patterns emerging, (or for any patterns to stay) are going to go away real fast.  But I have noticed an interesting pattern using my software.  The pattern leaned towards the number 15 hitting as the megaball tuesday.  (Of course I didn't play it, as I only play the super JP games when the payout equals or is greater than the stated odds.) But as time is running out for a dollar and a dream, I am going to consider sacrificing until all the patterns go poof when my software no longer updates the 5/75 lottery.

  So back to these patterns.  It may be good for fans of Gail Howard, and for users of A+ software that there is a chart K, called cluster skip, which is very obscure, yet difficult to understand.

  Quite honestly it is also generally very useless in the DOS based program.  However A Gold has a new chart, called KI, which is also obscure, and certainly many players who did not upgrade have not explored it.

  And being as that chart K, being generally worthless in A+, is not a chart that most players will gravitate to, many players who did upgrade do not know about it. 

  Now I am not going to post a picture of the chart at this time, because as a new chart, I would like to get permission before I post it.  But this chart is a chart that could prove helpful in prediction of the bonus ball.   Not to mention in many other games, if one is taught how to use it properly. 

  (After all any software is heavily dependent on the user, in the ability to find trends.)

  Since this is a lottery discussion forum, I would like to hear your thoughts and feeling about Mega Millions becoming harder to win, and simultaneously becoming easier to win.  Do you plan to play more, less, or the same come October, or is this the end of your MUSL days?

  I will discuss the new chart, and its use in the SYSTEMS forum for bonus ball prediction, and I will try to post chart picture when I have received permission.  In the meantime I will post a chart that essentially shows the same information albeit, in a different form, once I have constructed it.

  My vote is harder to win because I think the Mega Millions jackpot will eventually pass the Powerball Jackpot record of $1.5864 Billion Dollars!

  I hope that one $2 ticket is the only one that matches all 5 numbers plus the PB to win the largest PB jackpot in United States history of over $2 Billion Dollars! I hope that one $2 ticket is the only one that matches all 5 numbers plus the Mega Ball to win the largest Mega Millions jackpot in United States history of over $2 Billion Dollars!

  Good point ressuccess.  The Mega Millions, held the record for a long time with better odds until it was broken by PB. With similar odds it is possible.  The really mind-boggling thing is that when they change the matrix, you are going to have two almost identical games.

  PB will be 5/69 and 1/26, whereas MM will be 5/70 and 1/25.

  I wonder the genius who came up with that idea.

  That's why this is the last chance for virtually anybody to win a Jackpot using skill. 

  How many rolls did it take to get to the 1.5864 billion level?

  You are going to wind up possibly with two games that nobody ever wins the JP for years and years.  How can that possibly helps sales?

  Very high odds in your Mm and Pb and almost impossible to win...that is were quick picks come in ....most of these high jackpots where won with quickpicks.I agree with you there the odds were high and impossible and adding more megaballs to it just made it almost unplayable. You basically sit with 2 powerballs now as their odds are the same.Only the MegaSena have higher odds so your 2 lotteries are up there being the hardest to win.Sure its gonna influence their sales too

  What do you mean Quick Picks come in?  Do you mean my buy a QP guarantees a JP? 

  It would be interesting to have a real break down, of JP won with QP versus JP won with player choice.

  I am sure with the great transparency that MUSL affords they must have that data somewhere at their website.

  The 7 not coming out in Mega Millions is getting boring.  I am not even sure which skip it is at right now.  I am too lazy to do a workout.  Advantage Gold doesn't even update on the weekend.  I cant wait till the Matrix changes so I can dump this piece of $hit.

  The 7 last came out in MM on May 5th.  It's almost August 5th now.  LOL, nearly 3 months seven-less!!

  No I don't say that the extra gigantic high odds are stacked against a player both ways you look at it nothing is guaranteed in this business....if you ask your MUSL for the stats I am positively sure quick picks have won more jackpots than normal person working out the numbers....just my gut feel (perhaps Im wrong) you should ask them that perhaps if they will disclose that

  The powerball rolled 19 times to get to the record JP. The last JP that was hit in June also had rolled 19 times and the JP amount for that was 448.7 Million. Ticket sales for both PB and MM have been getting lower for quite some time now. I remember when JP of over 300 mill used to have people all excited. Now it takes over 400 million before it draws any attention at all.
