The biggest bummer might be the NY state income tax rate+ there's the NYC tax too but with a jackpot that high I think you'll be ok, ha.

Explain exactly how the lotteries "FULLY program" mechanical balls blown around by air. People want to hear your facts. But not...a conspiracy theory. Just facts.

Or, maybe it's simple math. In a game with millions of combinations, or hundreds of millions of combinations, (MM and PB), and only a fraction of those combinations are sold, it's not hard to understand that there is only going to be one, or two, or maybe....three jackpot winners.

JUST LOOK AT THE ODDS OF ANY JACKPOT GAME, THAT WILL TELL YOU EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Do you know a person in the lottery industry servicing their machines ? Yes or No ? Ok that out the way all tickets sold are send to central terminal mainframe so they know each combination that's played at close of the draw. The draw machines will be programmed with their sequence...you can have your 10 auditors standing next to the machine to make sure everything is and look legit. You got a point there is allot of combinations BUT use the word RARELY when you say there is more than 3 people winning a jackpot -it happens very rarely.Lets just say I know from a very confidential source in the industry how it works -if you think about it logically you will grasp the fact they are running a business and they need to be in profit before they can let a jackpot go.Their safety mechanisms are in place. You can disagree but before you disagree perhaps try to make contact with someone in the industry servicing their machines, that say if your lucky enough to get a contact like that.

Firstly, it doesn't make sense to buy Powerball tickets anywhere...

Basically, one is buying a dream for $2 with a slim chance of winning one's wager back plus maybe a few extra bucks. Where a jackpot was won in the past doesn't matter. However, with the odds are getting worse and worse every matrix change, soon it'll be a wonder anyone wins anywhere.

Seems to me, the next Powerball matrix change should just go all the way and make the odds beyond astronomical with 1 in many billions odds. White balls numbered 1-99 and at least 1-50 for the Powerball with starting jackpot only slightly higher than now, such as $50 million. No need to rig anything with odds that bad.

Its not rigging....its all about perfect timing and playing at the right time and THEN only defeating the astronomical odds(which is a feat by itself....its good to dream we all do and it can be life changing. I hear you about the matrix changes.....agree fully with you its astronomical.I only want to give one more example and I will be getting a little technical....in our lotto and powerball you will always get or see consecutive skips falling....if it was TRULY random what are the chances of seeing consecutive skips falling....example Skip 1 and skip 2 fell and it was followed by skip 3 and skip 4(perfectly selected)You cant get pin point selections in randomness sorry.....Thats where playing the lottery is a technical feat by itself and lining up the winners on one line is really a miracle by itself. If you want to hit straights pick the order using letters not numbers. ABC ABCD. It removes the decisions of trying to choose hot, cold, due, not due, digits in each position. The trends will become obvious. Once you have the order play all your combos in that order.

Wow interesting read thank you Grwurston...look as a skeptic myself whats important to know jackpots are there to be won but a few factors must be ticked off so perfect timing is key. Dont ever give up on your dreams ...if the time is in sync and you defeat the odds you will pick the rewards and it will be life changing.Goodluck

I bought PB tix for next Wednesday nights drawing in three different states and I'm thinkin' about adding a fourth and maybe even a fifth while I'm at it. I got 'em in Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania and maybe I'll zip down to New Jersey. Gonna call my brother down in Dunedin and have him buy me some Florida tix too. Gonna be hard to go to all five states at the same time to collect though. The newspapers and media will go wild with it when they find out the same guy won in a whole bunch of states.
