i have a question do you know how the money is given when you win the jackpots? like are they in check form or does the local lottery place give you the cash in hand?

For smallish amounts, usually $600 to $2500, depending on the lottery, some will issue a check or voucher immediately that can be cashed out at a partnering bank right nearby. For larger amounts up to some threshold ($10K, $100K, etc), direct deposit (ACH) may be offered. For very large amounts, generally bank wire or, more often, check only.

Some lotteries, such as Pennsylvania, only pay by check for in-state games. However, even for lotteries that only pay by check, regional and national games, such as Cash4Life, Mega Millions, and Powerball may be paid out differently.

In short, even for smallish wins, don't count on getting cash at the claim location.

John and Lisa Robinson from Munford, Tennesse won one-third of the $1.6 billion PB jackpot. Lisa said, "We only wanted a small piece of the pie".

Please note how most winners stay out of the limelight and news.

That's what Lisa said, after winning a third. Had they won the whole enchilada, the story may have gone like this" We just knew that one day we would win BIG."

BTW- John, Lisa and daughter did show up on " The Today Show" in NY, with the family attorney the very next day.
