Hi All
A little math. In a pick-3 matrix, each pair of digits shows 30 times. Each 3 digit set has 3 pairs.
Example. 123 has digit pairs, (12)- (13)- (23) and each of these pairs appear 30 times in 1000
lines. If we include box pairs then we also have (21)-(31)-(32) giving us 6 pairs total. Now if each
of these pairs shows 30 times then as a round about head figure 6*30=180 and 1000/180=5.5.
This is not a exact number because of overlapping digit pairs but I think you get the picture. Odds for
Setting all string-2 values and running Flips 0 to 5 produces 32 lines most plays. One can expect to
find one or more pairs of digits in the lines and a few straight and or box hits from time to time. Some
of what I have read caused me some concern and just wanted to throw out this information. It's so
easy to slip into the "after the fact, fact finding missions." Regardless of the line drawn your going to
find scenarios where we see the hits pop up. When doing this always ask yourself why did I not play
that line. Most of us would say because it did not stick out before the drawing. This is just a reminder
as it's too easy to get pulled into doing that. I suggest switching between play modes where you take
sniper shots trying to set more string values to Flip/Repeat for a few games then switch to another
mode. This will sharpen your skills and you will do better overall.
