Hello all. This is my first post but I've come and gone on this forum a few times.
I'm going to give some ideas or theories. This is based mainly on the Mass lottery and as you know, it pays, on the average, about 110 to 125 per pick 3 any game. Sometimes as low as 88 and sometimes as high as 156. So there is an advantage as most states cap the pick 3 any game at $80.
First thing I concluded pretty quickly, no one can predict the lottery. The numbers drawn are random and no system of mathematics or past history or astrology or praying can ever predict the numbers that will appear in the future.
But one can predict a certain amount of probability. If a "7" doesn't show for 10 games, it's likely a "7" will hit soon. So playing that "7" in a pick 3 game over the next 5 games is a good bet that it will hit. And wheeling it in a progressive betting strategy is not foolish. Maybe bet 20 combos per game. Start at like .50 per ticket then $1 then $2, $4 and so on.
At one point, I thought I had it lick, using the first number of the prior winning game, as my key number and wheeling that into about 23 combos and then doing the same the very next game. Combining that with a progressive betting strategy, I saw pretty staggering results. I ran numbers for a few nights and thought I had it. Then I ran into a stretch of losing 10 games in a row. The progressive betting ran into the thousands of dollars and I realized the top would blow off.
I then realized that Mass lottery switched out the machines. They keep about 12 machines and switch them out periodically. Some of these machines have tendencies. Just like some statistics people found out about roulette wheels back in the 70s I think it was. They realized that the wheels gave tendencies and would bet accordingly. The balls would start little grooves. Barely visible to the eye but they were grooves.
It kind of seemed to me that some machines seemed to give combos more than the others. Probably not the case but seemed that way.
