Delta was a sort of a shorthand way of expressing a drawing result. The idea is to start with the lowest value number, show the difference between it and the next lowest number and then the difference between the next lowest number etc. For instance, last night's five PB drawing numbers were 7 - 42 - 49 - 62 - 69 and the delta is 7 - 35 - 7 - 13 - 7. Another example is showing the difference between the lowest number and each of the other numbers, 7 - 35 - 42 - 55 - 62.

Delta does create one unique five or six number combo but the only practical purpose I saw was as a possible filter for pick-5 and pick-6 lotto type game wheels.

Okay, yes,STARCK47 you are correct, but you also have the delta by vertical position,
then we have two delta values for the draw line, and for the vertical position
from the last draw for reference, we have the x, y axis
where x is the delta in line and y is the delta in position,
we could create a Cartesian value x, y to the same to exclude sectors
why the Cartesian is not used?

dr san, if a couple or so of the numbers from the last draw show up in the next official draw, and you're playing them, then it's to your advantage. Right? This is another one of those basic observations that has been covered many times here and I know that I personally went into detail with it. Pick3/4 are very reasonably consistent when it comes to repeating digits, okay, be it in different positions or the same position. This would be a fundamental advantage so why not use it? Yes, at times, no numbers from the last draw will appear in the next one but, most of the time even with matrixes as large as PB &MM's, you'll get get at least (2) as 'give me' numbers...provided you play them back. Don't make this harder than it has to be, okay. I'm just trying to help with the KISS factor...Keep It Simple Sir.

Oklucky loseryou're correct, see an example of pick 4, gave 1569, last draw! no one was raffled or a repeat

remained within the 6 absent = 0.2,3,4,7,8 (absent) 2478

or you can combine the 6 absent, and also when repeating, we have two conditions, if in 10 draws you hit 3 or 4 when the next one will be within the 6 missing digits in the pick4, understood

we can create a filter because in addition to the actual digit from 0 to 9
repeats in the same pick position 3,4
we have the repetition of the pattern in the same position
ex = previous = 980 next 327
note that in the 2nd position position repeated the even pattern, 0,2,4,6,8
but not low / not anlto, so anyone who understands excel can do
a pattern of repeating even / high / low odd patterns
in the same position, could they do this?
ex = in pick3 = the digits can be all high, or all low or all odd or even, double 1,2,3 2,3 also, the control of this synchronism with excel
