Has anyone come across any research based on how the balls are lined up before the drop into the lottery machine. Look for trends or patterns based upon how the lottery balls are lined up pre-drop. This includes, order drawn, which machine and ball sets were used. Every machine can't drop the balls exactly the same. I worked on this about two years ago, it fizzled out. LOL!!! It's getting cold outside and thought I would fire it back up. The powerball balls are lined up 1-14, 15-28, 29-42, 43-56 and 57-69 starting from the left and going from bottom on up in each column.

I have not seen any research on this but have wondered about it as well.

You say you worked on this two years ago, does that mean you ran some experiments with a ball machine, or that you compared several lotteries that were using different methods to arrange the balls pre-drop, or something else?

I believe the longer the balls are mixed around post-drop, the less it matters how they were lined up in the tubes pre-drop.

Only my hairdresser knows for sure.

The balls are mixed up enough before being drawn to make it not matter.

They have the balls in that order so that you can see all the numbers are present. It's like a card game with a new deck, where you can see all the cards, in sequential order. Then when you want to start playing, the dealer shuffles the deck five times, which is sufficient to mix up the cards into a random order.

I don't have a lottery machine guys. I wish I did. If you watch the powerball drawings, the balls are dropped and immediately settle at the bottom of the drum. Then they mix for about seven seconds then they settle at the bottom again, then a ball is lifted up from the center. Then they mix for about three seconds, then settle at bottom again. A lot of settling at the bottom. The megamillion machine looks to mix the balls a lot more. Have any of you noticed the differences in the two machines? The powerball machine drops the balls at the same time. The Megaball machines drops each row separately. Plus the megaball has three arms that lift the balls upwards around the drum. A much bigger drum by the way. I'd say 25% of the time after the powerball machine drops the balls, the balls are stationary. The lack of movement is a good thing. The balls are made of rubber and weigh about 80 grams and the average difference in weight is 3/10ths of a gram. So ball 69 might weigh 3/10ths of a gram more than ball 1. Not much of a difference. But check this out...From October 7th, 2015 through November 28th, 2018...ball 1 has been drawn twenty two times..ball 69 drawn thirty seven times. This is from the same four ball sets. That's a pretty big difference. I still have a lot to catch up on. I can't remember where I left off.

Here's a late night tidbit...Number 1 has been drawn 22 times in the powerball since November, 2015. There were also 88 other numbers along with the 1 in those drawings. Of those 88 numbers, these stand out...69-5x...55-1x...54-2x.../....28-6x...27-3x...13-4x.../....2-2x....3-4x....16-3x...So these 9 numbers have been drawn 30 times when 1 comes up. I've separated these nine numbers into 3 sets....Look and see how the balls are stacked pre-drop..........................................................................................................................................................

I had edited this post last night..but it seemed to take me to long..so when I went to re-post..It wouldn't let me..Geez!!! Had to call it a night..LOL!! What I was trying to say if some of you don't follow is...I'm looking for a pattern, trend, bias or whatever you want to call it based upon a number that is drawn and what numbers follow or precede that number in the drawing. Now it doesn't stop there. This is also based upon how the numbers are stacked in the lottery machine before they are dropped. I don't know if the rows line up in the 69 numbers in the previous above post on your computer screen. But I think you get it. 1 has been drawn 22 times...So that means there were 88 other numbers drawn on those days. 4 x 22 =88..Out of those 88 numbers..I've narrowed it down to 9 numbers that have come up with the 1 thirty times..Those 9 numbers are highlighted in green, red and purple on how they would be set before they are dropped into the drum. Those three sets are bunched up together..Coincidence?..Not sure..Using the 1 as your key number and those 9 other numbers in some kind of wheel..There were 7 times you could of had 3 numbers come up...Three times 4 numbers...I just randomly started with 1 on my lottery pivot table I created on excel. I'll do 2 then 3 and so on and so forth. I'll look at which machine was used and which ball set used also. They're probably going to change out those balls for the powerball soon. It's been three years. I might even play a wheel using 1 and those 9 numbers tonight. What the heck..Why not.
